Frugal Finds: Shopping at Outlet Malls

September 13, 2018 by Shelly

Frugal Finds and Hot DealsHow many of you live near an outlet mall? We have an Outlet Mall in Hershey, one in Gettysburg and then we have the world-famous super Outlet Malls down in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Every year people flock to Lancaster County to visit the Tanger and Rockvale Outlet Malls. Between the two of the, I bet there is close to 150 stores!

A few weeks ago we were down to the Rockvale Outlet Mall and I was able to pick up some great deals! I came home with 4-5 large bags full of items. Today I’m going to spotlight just a few of the great deals that I found.

* I picked up this one-piece designer (name brand) women’s swimsuit dress that was regularly priced at $118.00 for only $15.00. Wow, what a deal! I really like how it fits me and you can tell that it’s quality-made. Really happy with my purchase.

* At another store that sells handbags, wallets and accessories I found this adorable floral print wristlet wallet. I had been wanting a new wristlet wallet to use when we travel but didn’t want to lay out a lot of money for one. The one that I purchased was originally $28.00 and I got it for $8.00. It’s cute!!!

Lancaster Outlet Mall Shopping Deals

* There are several food and candy shops & outlet stores down there and I found one of my favorite chocolate snacks in the one store. I’m a huge fan of BarkThins and typically pay $4.89 per bag at my local grocery store. The store down there had them for $1.00 per bag and yes…they were still in date (not expired) so I picked up a total of 10 bags and brought them home.

* In a discount store down there I purchased 4 new swimming pool floats that were originally priced at $10.00 each for 1/2 price, so I got them for $5.00 each and the family has been enjoying them in our pool for the past few weeks.

I got a lot of other things too, but those are the items that I wanted to highlight today. Do you live near any outlet malls? Do you like shopping at them and/or do you have any favorite ones that you like to visit?

I have not yet looked for the outlet mall near me, but a neighbor told me that she loved shopping there. You found some great buys and the swimsuit looks wonderful in the photo.

Nice buys! I’m lucky enough to be an hour away from a Tangers in Pa and Woodbury Commons in NY. Love shopping at outlets.

I do know where an outlet mall is about 30 minutes south, but I’ve never been there. I’m not much of a shopper. Thrift stores are where I shop most when I do shop.

We used to have an outlet mall here where I live but all the good stores closed years ago and now most of that mall is empty it’s sad. I honestly don’t know where the closest one is now. I went to one outside of San Francisco a few years ago and it was fun I purchased a lot of shoes and some jeans. You got some really good deals on your shopping spree I love the bathing suit. I have never tried barkthins and now I am curious I think I would like them going to have to look for them the next time I am in the store.

We don’t have any where we live but I love outlet malls. There is a big one in NC right off the interstate I am going to stop at one of these times when we are traveling to/ from NY.

I wish I had an outlet mall near me. My sister went to on a couple of hundred miles away and made weekend of it. I like Barkthins too. I am glad you found so many bargains.
