For the past 3 years I’ve been really into adult coloring and paper crafts. With that said, I mostly use glitter gel ink pens and markers because I never knew how to properly use colored pencils. Well, until now and thanks to this wonderful instructional book by Veronica Winters.
The book includes step-by-step instructions on how to use colored pencils and the author lays it all out in an easy-to-understand format. The book goes over the materials that you need and then the instructions begin. You’ll learn the importance of light, all about the composition and the focal point, how to turn the form, how to create volume, how to blend colored pencils, how to draw fabric and so much more! It’s like a complete art course on colored pencils all in one handy book!
I just had my 2nd major knee surgery in the past 4 months and as soon as I can get down into my art & craft room again, I’ll definitely be sitting down with this book & my colored pencils to try out some of the techniques. This is the first time in YEARS that I’ve been excited to try out coloring and drawing with colored pencils.
