We wanted to take a few minutes out of our holiday to wish you all a Happy 4th of July and a Happy Independence Day! Happy Birthday America!!!
Do you have any fun plans for the holiday?
We’re hosting a backyard barbecue for some of our family and friends. Hubby cleaned the pool and the grill. We stocked up on some food & beverages over the weekend and we’re ready to roll this afternoon. On top of swimming and good food, we have several of our backyard games all lined up and ready for players. Later tonight we’ll be heading to a local park to watch their annual fireworks show.
Independence Day is one of those holidays that I really enjoy! It’s during the summertime and we enjoy being outside. On top of that…what’s not to love about hanging out with friends & family and having some delicious food. Right? Right!

I can’t believe that July 4th was a week ago. The time is flying by. We simply stayed at home, but my grandsons saw their first fireworks and loved it.
We stayed at home. It is so HOT and I cannot take the heat. We were having pop up thunderstorms all day too. They did get the parade finished in town before it rained, yea!! They had many people that needed medical help because of the heat too. I did not want to be one of them, therefore, I stayed home. I watched the fireworks on the the TV.
Happy 4th of July! I worked this afternoon but joined my husband, daughter & grandson to take in a ballgame with fireworks. We had a lot of fun.

We are hanging out at home. Fireworks are legal here right now, well until the 8th anyway. Our dog is going bananas. Last year it wasn’t so bad for him,this year it is a bit different as he is blind now and a bit frightened. Iam trying to keep him calm even as I type.
