Growing up in the 1950’s and 60’s every little girl was taught how to sew, cross-stitch and how to do embroidery. I remember my mother sitting down with me for hours and teaching me how to do all of the stitch work by hand. Back then we didn’t use sewing machines and modern-day tools.
