Cat Lady Embroidery Book 380 Ways to Stitch a Cat

July 9, 2018 by Carol

Cat Lady Embroidery Book by ApplemintsGrowing up in the 1950’s and 60’s every little girl was taught how to sew, cross-stitch and how to do embroidery. I remember my mother sitting down with me for hours and teaching me how to do all of the stitch work by hand. Back then we didn’t use sewing machines and modern-day tools.

* Complimentary Book Received for Review.

The Cat Lady Embroidery 380 Ways to Stitch a Cat Book is a great book for beginner or experienced stitchers. You can use the designs inside the book to decorate tote bags, t-shirts, hats, throw pillows, baby blankets, pet beds and more!

Cat Lady Embroidery Book by Applemints

Book Synopsis: Fat, striped, cheshire, or grumpy, this books offers more than 300 embroidery stitch patters for cat lovers. Each set of patterns offers a range of ideas in different styles, shapes, genres from simple to more complex. A purrfect book for embroidery beginners or those looking for fun and simple patterns. Original designs and clear instructions make this book a must have for any embroidery enthusiasts library.

The book includes detailed instructional pages, a complete stitch guide, and advanced cat motifs and is perfect for embroiderers of all skill levels. Each motif in the book comes with a stitch guide, which includes all of the information you’ll need to stitch up the design, as well as a full-size template that can be traced easily. At the top of each page, you’ll find some general information that applies to all the motifs included on that particular page. You can use the suggested colors or come up with your own color combinations.

In the back of the book you’ll find a few cat theme’d embroidery fonts, kitty corners and kitty borders that you can utilize in your designs. There is a detailed section for newbie stitchers to help teach you how to do all of the different embroidery stitches, the type’s of tools you’ll need, etc. I’ve been doing this for decades and that section offered a really nice refresher course for me.

As soon as I get back from vacation with my son I’ll be heading to my local craft store to pick up some supplies to make some upcoming gifts that I need. I think it would be really fun to stitch a few of these cat motifs onto some tote bags and hats! The designs are way too cute!!!
