We’re meat-eaters and I’m not afraid to admit that. We enjoy eating all kinds of different meat with pork being one of our favorites. Last week the local farmer’s market had thick-cut pork chops on sale (half-price), so I snagged up 8 lbs. of chops!
When you make the following recipe you can opt to make them in the oven or toss them onto your barbecue grill. The cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your chops and your preferred method in cooking them.
Marinated Pork Chops Recipe
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons ketchup
4-6 pork chops
In a marinading container mix together the soy sauce, vegetable oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar and ketchup. Place pork chops into the marinade. Cover and shake up the container disperse the sauce all over the pork chops. Place container into the refrigerator for 3-4 hours to allow flavors to infuse.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place pork chops along with the sauce into a baking dish. Place into your preheated oven and bake for approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on the thickness of your chops. Once done, remove from oven & let stand for 3-4 minutes before serving.
Note: You can opt to place the chops onto a preheated grill. It will take approximately 12-14 minutes for each side to cook. (make sure you flip them over halfway during the cooking process).

I use very similar ingredients in my marinade and just change the spices from time to time. It does add a lot of flavor to the pork chops or also chicken.
That does look like a great marinade. You really scored on the chops.
We make a similar marinade and it is good on chicken also. We love to play around with spices and marinades. Those pork chops sound really good! I am going to give these a try!
This looks like an easy and tasty marinade that would make the pork chops very tender and flavorful. I find that baking them is one of the easiest ways to prepare and get them cooked just right. This time of year we do them on our grill also.
Thank you for the new way to fix the pork chops. My husband is always asking what different way to fix them. Now I have a delicious way to fix them.
TThis sounds quite good. I like how your marinate would be both sweet and salty i is a nice combination. Chopes are so easy to make especially grilled and they come out so nice too. Now if you want a real Midwest treat, pair it with some grilled sweet corn it is so sweet right now and there is a variety called ‘candy corn’ that just makes you want more.
