5 Tips on How to Easily Redecorate Your Master BedroomLet’s face it, many of us aren’t home decorating pro’s and redecorating a room can be a challenging task. Well, we’re here today to give you a few tips on how you can easily redecorate your master bedroom and stay well within your decorating budget.

1. Decide on your decorating style. Do you like the country, primitive, shabby chic, industrial, modern, coastal chic, country cottage, etc. type of look? Decide on the style that you like and then purchase items that work with it.

2. Purchase the Big Decorating Items First. For the biggest impact and for a cohesive look, you’ll want to purchase your bedding and window coverings first. If desired, pick up an area rug or accent rugs to pull the entire look together.

3. Repaint the Room. We recommend getting your bedding & window treatments before deciding on what color to paint your room. You can go with a nice neutral color or select a color that will work well with your new bedding & window treatments. Giving the room a fresh coat of paint will help the room to feel brand new to you! People often forget that painting a room yourself can lead to accidents, such as the paint not sitting nicely on the way, so don’t shy away from hiring a professional painter to paint your bedroom as they will have all the equipment for a smooth application.

4. Restock the Bedroom. It’s now time to put everything back into your room. This would be a good time to clean things out, downsize and re-organize everything that you have. Remember, less is more when it comes to a bedroom!

5. Add the Small Accessories. Once you have everything back into your bedroom, you can add some new decorating accessories. Considering adding new toss pillows, wall decor, photo frames, light fixtures, etc. Take a photograph of your new bedroom along with you when you go shopping. It’s easier to select small decorating accessories when you can visually see what you’re working with.

That’s it, you’re basically done. Take your time when it comes to redecorating your master bedroom, it doesn’t have to be completed in a day. Take the time to find the furnishings and accessories that you really WANT, don’t just settle on what you can find that day.
