Tequila Watermelon Slice Popsicles Recipe

June 23, 2018 by Jenelle

One of the things I look forward to in the summertime is fresh, in-season watermelon! I seriously could eat watermelon every day and never get bored with it.  Today’s guest-post recipe is courtesy of Sparkling Ice and is for “adults” and I think it would be perfect to serve at some of your summer adult-only parties!!!

Note: When purchasing wooden popsicle sticks, you want to purchase “food safe” wooden sticks, not the wooden sticks found in the craft department at your local store! In addition, I recommend using non-colored, non-dyed sticks.

3/4 cup tequila
1/2 cup Sparkling Ice Strawberry Watermelon
1/4 cup lime juice
1 lb. fresh watermelon

Stir together tequila, Sparkling Ice Strawberry Watermelon, and lime juice in a large bowl. Cut watermelon into wedges and soak in Sparkling Ice mixture for 15 minutes. Insert popsicle sticks into wedges then freeze on a rack-lined baking sheet for 1 hour.

Thank you for the advice on popsicle sticks . I did not know that there was a difference. I love the idea of making adult popsicles with some tequila.

Now this is different in hat the popsicles are slices! I love watermelon, and although I dont drink others do and these would be good as long as they were marked which were ‘adult’ and which ones not. Gosh you would sure have to watch kid on this one though!

This would need to be served at a party where there are no underaged people. Would be too tempting.
I do like the concept, cold, tasty and fun.
