Looking for something different to make when it comes to side dishes? If so, I think you’ll appreciate our guest-post recipe from Pasta Fits. This simple garlic and olive oil pasta has the addition of toasted bread crumbs for a crunchy finish. It makes a nice side dish for chicken or fish. It whips up quickly (less than 30 minutes) and will make 4 servings.
Spinach and Garlic Orecchiette Gratinée Recipe
4 oz. orecchiette
2 tbsp. olive oil, divided
3 tbsp. bread crumbs
1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 cups/8 oz. baby spinach
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain well.
Meanwhile, heat half of the oil in large skillet set over medium heat; cook bread crumbs, salt and pepper for about 2 minutes or until lightly toasted. Transfer to plate.
Heat remaining oil in same skillet; cook garlic for about 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add spinach; cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until starting to wilt.
Add pasta to skillet; toss to coat well. Top with toasted bread crumbs.

I think that this would be a delicious recipe. I love using fresh spinach and garlic.
You know I saw the words and was pretty intimidated. I am glad it is just pasta! I would imagine if you couldnt find this, you could use something else, there is another pasta shaped closely to this and I dont recall the name. This would make a nice side dish or a take along to a get together. I like all the ingredients in it!
As far as I’m concerned I’ll try any dish with garlic and spinach. ‘ear’ pasta? Have never seen it before.
