Last weekend I had the kids over and we sat down to build a few spaceships from the “Make Your Own Press-Out Spaceships” book from Dover Publications. The book has all of the instructions and pieces that you need to build 4 colorful and creative spaceships. The only item you need to supply is the glue.

What’s really cool about this book has some fun “space facts” sprinkled throughout the pages. For example: On April 12th, 1961, as his spacecraft completed an orbit of Earth, Yuri Gagarin became the first human being to see our planet from space.

This is a quality-made book! The spaceship pieces are printed on a medium-weight and firm paper…the pieces are not flimsy or thin. They will hold up to your children playing with them once constructed. The designs are creative and definitely colorful. The step-by-step assembly instructions are easy-to-follow and my 9 year old granddaughter and 10 year old godson had no problems assembly the spaceships on their own.

    I love the different Dover books, but I would really like to Dumpling Pups by Sarah Sloyer. I love to crochet and that book looks adorable with the puppies to create.
