Are you someone that is in a constant battle to get your eyebrows looking just the way you want them? Does it seem to take you longer and longer every morning to add the finishing touches, and is it the most frustrating part of your day? Maybe, just maybe, you might be the right candidate for a relatively novel technique known as microblading. Microblading is a kind of semi-permanent technique by which a licensed medical professional adds ink that mirrors the hairs on your brows. By doing this, you essentially will be all set with your eyebrows for a longer period, sometimes up to a couple of years. If done effectively, it can indeed solve a lot of your problems.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that it’s absolutely the right thing for you. In the case of some people, it might be somewhat worrisome for the person involved, who might be a bit leery about the idea of having what is essentially a tattoo-type technique performed in a sensitive area like that. There are many other considerations you must make when it comes to microblading, including finding the right team of professionals to perform the procedure. Here are some of the things you should be aware of before you jump into microblading.
1.The Cost
Microblading isn’t as costly as a typical surgery might be, but it can indeed fall about a thousand dollars, give or take a few hundred depending on the business in question doing the procedure. That is not a slight amount of money, even for those who are well-off, and it isn’t something that would normally be covered by most insurances. Of course, for those who are constantly going through expensive brow pens and other materials in the daily struggle, the thought of one big cost over several ongoing minor ones might be an acceptable tradeoff.
2. Semi-Permanent
This is a key factor when it comes to microblading. Unlike a tattoo, which will stay on your skin lifelong in most cases without active removal, microblading is still a temporary procedure. Most professionals who perform this technique recommend going back every couple of years to have it done again once it fades. Depending on the nature of your skin, it could fade very quickly.
3. Your Tolerance
Let’s face it: Some people have a major issue with needles. It is a fear that they have ingrained in them at a young age, and it often doesn’t go away with time. If you fall into that category, no proselytizing about the wonders of microblading are going to convince you that it’s worth the trouble. In any case, you should make sure to trust the procedure only to those professionals with a proven track record of success and many examples of the procedures they have done.
Microblading can indeed be a tremendous positive for women frustrated with their brows. If you think you’re one of them, do your research before deciding upon it as an answer for you.
I found this information interesting , but I do not like needles. This procedure would not be worth the fear and the cost.
It would be nice to not have to deal with getting brows done for a few years but it does seem expensive. I would really want to know that the person doing it was qualified.
I have no problem with my eyebrows. They’ve been fine for 69 years and I would not do anything like this.
This was really interesting to read and very informative. I had never heard of this before I usually get my brows done at the salon but this is something to consider.
