Blueberry, Banana and Coconut Milk Smoothie Recipe

Blueberry, Banana and Coconut Milk Smoothie RecipeWhen it comes to fruit…blueberries and bananas are always at the top of my favorites list! I enjoy them in yogurt, ice cream, milk shakes, homemade breads, oatmeal, cereals and of course…fruit smoothies!

Four years ago we put in our first blueberry bush and since that time we’ve added four more. We’re working on expanding our blueberry production and will be adding two more bushes later this month. We call it our “blueberry patch”. There is NOTHING like growing, picking and eating your own freshly-grown blueberries!

When they’re in-season I like to use them to make a variety of homemade smoothies, milkshakes and ice cream. Today, I’m going to share with you one of my favorite homemade smoothie recipes. YUMMY!

Blueberry, Banana and Coconut Milk Smoothie Recipe

1 3/4 cups Fresh Blueberries
2 Ripe-Overly Ripe Bananas
3/4 – 1 cup Canned Coconut Milk
1/4 – 1/2 cup Crushed Ice or Ice Cubes

Slice your bananas into thirds and place into a blending container. Toss in your fresh blueberries, the canned coconut milk and then pour in your ice. Cover the container and blend for 15 to 20 seconds, or until desired consistency. Remove and pour into chilled glasses. Serve immediately.

Note: The ingredient measurements will vary depending on the fruitiness and the consistency that you personally desire. The measurements are all approximate.

I too love fruit smoothies, but I have not yet tried to make them with coconut milk. I often add spinach or kale to the smoothie so that I have a vegetable in it also.

  2. I often use blueberries and bananas in my smoothies. I like the flavor combination.

This recipe sounds so refreshing and healthy. I really need to start drinking smoothies for breakfast as the weather heat up I think I am going to do it more often thank you for this recipe.

  5. Everyone in my family loves blueberries. Unfortunately, my blueberry bushes have not been good producers so we usually get ours at the farmers market. This is a delicious looking smoothie.

I love fruit smoothies too. We usually do apple, banana and spinach. It is the best wait to get spinach into my husband.
