We spend a LOT of time outdoors during the spring, summer and early fall months. We enjoy being outside in our garden, playing backyard family games, barbecuing and of course, spending time in our pool. It’s our favorite time of the year!
With that said, we don’t enjoy getting bit up by mosquitoes! Last year we used a lot of mosquito-repelling lotions, creams and sprays. Some of them worked, but most didn’t. On top of that, they have foul odors and irritate our skin. We tried all kinds of different things and still…we were getting bit up by nasty mosquitoes!
Thermacell sent me a Patio Shield Repeller and we absolutely love it! We spent a few hours out on our deck last week and none of us got any bug bites! I found it best to turn it on about 15-20 minutes ahead of time, so that it could start working before we sat outside. There were NO foul odors and it was silent (makes no noise). On top of that, it looks attractive and you would never know that it was a mosquito repeller!
You can use the new Thermacell Patio Shield Repeller on your deck, porch, patio, around your pool area, campsite or take one with you any time your attending an outdoor event. Now that we tried it (and it works), we’ll be picking up a few more for the summer! You can learn more by visiting Thermacell online.

Definitely the mosquitos because we have them really bad where we live. We’ve tried everything but nothing works.
Mosquitoes are horrible, but I have seen so many red wasps this year. I sure don’t want to mess with those!! I tend to spray certain areas of my yard with essential oil diluted in water.

We have so many unwanted mosquitoes here in Florida. Our patio is screened and that helps. However, I know we will never be able to fully eradicate them. This mosquito repellent would certainly help.

I hate the mosquitoes are terrible but the worst here are the black flies, they are actually called deer flies. The bites swell up so much and are so itchy and they always bite near my eyes and make me look like I got punched. I use a thermacell device you can hook on your belt, it has a pad and a butane cartridge, it is the most effective thing I have found to help with mosquitoes in our woodsy, rural area.

Mosquitoes are really bad here. They eat my husband up. We use spray on him.
It’s flies that I can’t stand. I do find that where we live the best way to keep mosquitos from multiplying is to make sure that you don’t have water standing around.
My husband is a mosquito magnet, so although I abhor spiders, our family’s #1 enemy is skitters. We are anal about keeping screens closed and spraying bug killer inside.
