Making homemade bath, body and beauty products is a lot easier than most people think. One of the advantages to making your own products is that you can control what ingredients go in them. Plus, by making your own products you’re ensuring that what you’re using is fresh and wasn’t some product that had been sitting on a shelf for the past 4 years. Not only that, homemade products are cheaper than their store bought counterparts!
This recipe for do-it-yourself almond sea salt food scrub is really easy to make and all ingredients are readily available.
DIY Almond Sea Salt Foot Scrub Recipe
3 cups of sea salt
1 cup of Epsom salts
8 ounces of water
2 ounces of almond oil
In a disposable bowl, mix together all of the ingredients listed in the recipe. Once everything is mixed, pour your foot scrub into a glass mason jar for storage.
Use: Use a plastic scoop or plastic teaspoon and measure out 1 teaspoon to use on each foot. Rub the sea salt scrub onto the heels of each foot for 3-5 minutes and then rinse under warm running water. Once you are done with the salt scrub, soak your feet in warm clean water for 5 minutes. Pat dry with a cotton towel and follow up with a gentle moisturizing foot lotion.
