I’m an artistic and crafty person and when I was a child…I loved playing with sidewalk chalk. I would play outside for hours at a time drawing pretty designs on our sidewalk and paved driveway, and it was an inexpensive way to keep me entertained while allowing me to explore my creativity. If you’re like me, you can find chalk art for sale here.
Now that I’m a grandparent, I’ve passed along my love for all things arts and crafts, including my love for sidewalk chalk! My almost 9 year old granddaughter loves it too!

First, let me tell you about our sponsor for this feature – Yoobi. The company is based on a bright yet simple idea: colorful, vibrant supplies for school, home or office that give to classrooms in need. For every Yoobi item purchased, Yoobi contributes a Yoobi item to a classroom in need, right here in the U.S.! So while we’re in the spirit of giving thanks – now is the time to support a great brand that is dedicated to giving back!
The company sent us a complimentary 2-pack of their Sidewalk Chalk Pops which are done in adorable popsicle shapes. What makes this particular chalk so special is that those popsicles are thick…which means they don’t crumble or break while you’re using them! Next, you can easily draw with them without getting messy hands because you hold them via the attached sticks.
Our 2-pack came with one lavender colored chalk and one pink colored chalk which are the perfect colors for springtime and Easter designs. These chalks are thick and come in a large size, so they will last your child for a long time!
I hosted a play date with my granddaughter and she decided to decorate my sidewalks with some colorful Easter and springtime designs. She artistically made a few Easter Eggs, drew some colorful spring flowers and wrote the words HAPPY EASTER across our sidewalk. These designs were fantastic and they went right along with all of our Easter decor that we currently have outside in our yard.
The designs that she made lasted for several days until we finally had a rain shower which washed them away. Of course, you can easily erase the designs with your garden hose if you want to clean things up before it rains. Unlike some of the other sidewalk chalks out in the retail marketplace, these chalks did NOT stain up my grass or plants that were nearby. Nope, it rinsed away completely clean with the rain water and left nothing behind.
You can learn more about this particular item and the other products that Yoobi has to offer by visiting Yoobi’s website online and by connecting with the company on Facebook.

My niece & her friends would have hours of fun with these chalk pops.
That is such a cute idea. I like just holding the stick. I remember really messy hands with the other stick chalks. Those are really pretty colors.
I like that these wash away completely. Sidewalk chalk is a fun way to be artistic.
Way back when all we had was white chalk for hop scotch. But you have me thinking and wondering if my great niece might like some
When I was a little girl, my neighbors and I used to draw on the sidewalks. It was so much fun and our artwork would stay until the rain washed it away. These are lovely memories.
