Every year my husband and I like to get away and spend some quality time with one another. When we’re looking to escape the city…we head to the countryside where we can enjoy some quality one-on-one time together. While staying at hotels and motels are okay…we really enjoy staying at a luxurious bed and breakfast inn.

The Jacqueline House of Wilmington is a beautiful bed & breakfast inn located in western Pennsylvania. It’s located about 1 hour north of Pittsburgh, about 1 hour and 45 minutes south of Erie, and just 15 minutes from the Ohio and Pennsylvania border. It’s perfect for romantic weekend getaways, girlfriend weekends, bachelorette parties and perfect for travelers who just want to get away from it all.
Recently we had the opportunity to visit The Jacqueline House of Wilmington for a weekend getaway and today…I’m excited to share some photographs and information with all of you about our stay.
As soon as you arrive at The Jacqueline House you’ll feel right at home. The Innkeeper Becky will welcome you right at the door and give you a little history about the house and property. We were quickly checked in and shown to our suite.
The inn offers four different luxurious suites to their guests and all have their own private bathrooms. We stayed in The Neshannock Falls Suite which was spaceous, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. One of the things we really loved about our suite was all of the beautiful sunlight that streamed through the windows!
Our suite had a comfortable king-size bed, super-soft linens, a flat screen smart TV, sitting area, large closet, an aromatherapy diffuser and the over-sized bathroom was incredible! In our bathroom we enjoyed a jacuzzi tub, double vanity and an awesome shower! The jacuzzi was one of the luxuries that we really enjoyed.
Throughout your stay you’ll enjoy a lot of little extra specials like super-fluffy bathrobes, flameless candles surrounding the jacuzzi, downstairs media room with fireplace, an outdoor swimming pool (in-season), and a gourmet breakfast in the morning. Everything about our stay was perfect and we felt spoiled the entire time!
In the surrounding area you’ll find local wineries, premium shopping outlets, restaurants, the Banks Covered Bridge, the historic Westminster College, country and boutique shopping and more! The bed and breakfast inn is smack dab in the middle of Amish country! You’ll see the old order Amish shopping, working on their farms and their horse & buggies going down the streets.

Looks awesome. We have never spent any time at a Bed and Breakfast. The Jacqueline House of Wilmington is a Beautiful place inside and out. It defintely has that Homey Feeling. I would stay there in a Heart Beat! I would also enjoy seeing the Amish and their carriages drawn by Horses. Thank You for sharing this Fabulous Place.
It looks lovely. I prefer to stay at bed & breakfast for a relaxing weekend. I don’t think I have ever been that far northwest Pa. but would love to go.
The house itself is beautiful I bet it has some great history to it. The amenities you mentioned sound incredible, they sure updated to please. The room looks spectacular, light, airy and everything looks so well cared for. I bet it was a wonderful time, and a nice break for you both!
