Fend Off Colds with the Winter Tealixir and Tetley Immunity Teas

January 4, 2018 by Shelly

Tetley Immunity TeasMy grandchildren attend public school and every year during the school season they bring home germs which makes the entire family sick! We all get numerous colds, viruses, the flu, infections, you name it, we get it. Once one person gets it, it will pass through the entire family. Just a vicious cycle!

* Complimentary Products Received for Review.

This year the adults in the family are trying something new to boost our immune systems to hopefully cut down on the spread of colds and germs. Two weeks ago we all started drinking Tetley Immunity Teas and I’m excited to tell you about them today. But first…let’s get to the recipe that’s courtesy of Tetley Tea.

Tetley Herbal Peach & Orange Tea

Tetley Winter Tealixir Recipe

1 Tetley Immunity Green Tea bag (smooth green tea cleverly combined with lemon, vitamin C and honey)
1 Tetley Immunity Peach Orange Tea bag (a lovely peach and orange infusion)
8 oz. hot water
8 oz. hot lemonade
Honey to taste (suggested 1/2 tsp)
Optional: 1/8 tsp. peppermint extract OR 1 pump peppermint syrup

Steep Tetley tea bags in hot water and lemonade for 3-5 minutes. Stir in honey to taste and optional peppermint flavor of choice. Enjoy.

A couple of months ago I was introduced to the Tetley Immunity Teas and I’ve been drinking them every since. I enjoy their flavors, but more importantly, I do feel that they’re helping to boost my immune system. Not only that, during the wintertime my throat always gets dry, scratchy and raspy. Sipping on a cup of tea every day helps to soothe it.

Tetley Immunity Super Green Tea with Lemon & Honey

For the past 2 weeks the entire family has been drinking one cup of the Winter Tealixer every day. That’s right, I now have my 69 year old mother, my husband, my adult daughter and myself…all drinking this tea and in particular the recipe that is posted above.

A few days ago my granddaughter comes home from school sick (the typical sinus infection, bronchitis, etc. all set off by a cold) and I was fretting that we were all going to get sick. Well, for once…only one out of the four of us did! Wow, we usually all come down with it within 48 hours, but not this time! While I’m no doctor, I can honestly tell you that my mom and I (both of us) swear that the Tetley Immunity Tea is doing its job!

You can head on over to Tetley to learn more about their great tea products and to print out a $1.00 off Tetley Super Tea coupon (limited time only).
