Ways to Make Your Baby’s Nap Time Extra Special

January 28, 2018 by Jenelle

Newborn Baby BoyBabies need lots of rest when they are young. Even toddlers require a rest period during their busy day. Mums that want to make their precious baby’s nap time extra special should create a wind down routine complete with a soft and snugly sleep buddy. This could be a security blanket or a favorite toy. Smaller babies are comforted when they are bundled. In many cultures, mothers wrap their infants snugly and carry them close. Baby is content, and can smell your scent and perhaps hear your heartbeat. Always ensure that anything given to your baby is free of harmful chemicals, harsh dyes or rough materials.

Some mothers delight in finding a special storybook that they read to their little one. Simple pictures and interesting prints can give your baby something to focus on. Everyone has likely seen a young baby happily gurgling while staring intently at a favorite toy or picture. There are lots of terrific stories that can become a child’s preferred sleep routine or wake up surprise. Look for storybooks that also have matching toys, blankets or pillow that can be placed in a baby’s crib or other sleeping place.

Babies love to look at faces, and mum’s face is especially adored. They can stare for long periods of time, remaining content and peaceful. When developing a special nap time routine, consider introducing something that your baby enjoys looking at. Animal characters in beautiful colors are always a good pick. As babies grow, they still enjoy listening to stories involving an animal that has cute characteristics. These objects are able to grow with a child, so the small cost is definitely worth all of the cherished moments spent holding your beloved babe.

Muslin Cotton Baby Wrap

Reading to your baby never grows old. The stories that you share with your infant today, may well be the ones that your child will be reading with their children one day. These special moments should be treasured. In this fast-paced world, mum’s can still manage to slow down a bit to enjoy cuddling with their angelic babies. Many new mothers use a security blanket to instill confidence and calm. There are scores of these blankets, and these also make phenomenal gifts. Many mothers that shop for muslin wraps online find incredibly appealing versions that are just too cute to pass by. Look for muslin wraps made from 100% pure organic cotton.

Choose a lightweight blanket or wrap that is cozy and soft as a baby’s tender skin. It is important to only place smooth and nonirritating fabrics next to your little one’s delicate face. By giving your baby a sleepy time friend, your child will feel safe and loved if she/he awakens during the night. Babies that realize that their favored blanket or sleep toy is near often can be soothed back to sleep without intervention. Most mums go for authentic baby items that have a timeless charm that will be passed on to the next little people in the family some day.

Busy mums can find lovely baby items at decent prices by shopping online. There are magical stories in books and baby wraps waiting for the perfect baby to swaddle. Start a collection to increase the fun. Your baby deserves the best.

My granddaughter loves to have books read to her and songs sung right before her nap or bedtime. She has several favorites which we rotate.

Our nap time routine with our now 2 year old grandson has always included books even from when he was very young. He loves books and his trips to the library to pick out books for his nap.
