One of those companies is Farouk Systems USA, the maker of BioSilk. I’m happy to debut their latest beauty line on the blog today. This fabulous new line is called Silk 21® and will be sold exclusively at Sally Beauty Supply until March 2018.
This new line features four Silk21 products that contain 21 amino acids to replenish dry or damaged hair with essential moisturizing botanical extracts and herbs. It also provides thermal protection and strengthens and revitalizes hair while leaving it silky smooth with incredible shine and UV protection. The line also prevents color loss, which is definitely a must for those of us that color or highlight our hair.
Hair is made up of proteins formed from multiple amino acids and when we color our hair (using processed chemicals) or even styling with heat, the proteins in our hair gets fragmented, converting several amino acids to amino acid derivatives. The Silk 21 line of products are rich in amino acids derived from natural silk and keratin that help to maintain and balance the composition of the hair. It’s fascinating to understand the science behind what keeps our hair healthy.
I’ve been using these four new products and am excited to give you an overview of each below.
* Silk 21® Hydrating Thermal Protecting Shampoo – this shampoo gently cleanses dry or damaged hair of impurities and build up while replenishing and hydrating your hair. Silk offers thermal protection helping to prevent future damage and split-ends. This product will help recondition dry, damaged hair by strengthening weak strands. It also smells great, which I love.
* Silk 21® Hydrating Thermal Protecting Conditioner – I don’t even understand how you couldn’t condition your hair. This adds more hydration for dry hair and helps retain moisture. It improves elasticity for more manageable hair strands and leaves your hair manageable and easier to comb through.
* Silk 21® Leave In Thermal Protecting Styling Cream – This is a lightweight, leave-in treatment that hydrates dry hair while helping to revive dull lifeless hair. Silk offers thermal protection, helping to prevent future damage and split-ends. My fair feels so soft and nourished after using it. It’s also more manageable and has incredible shine.
* Silk 21® Silk Repair & Shine Serum – this serum is my very favorite of the new line. It’s a lightweight, leave-in silk replenishing and reconditioning treatment that shields hair against thermal damage. I use a blow dryer and a curling iron and this helps protect my locks from heat and damage. It also helps to smooth away frizz and fly-a-ways, leaving hair beautiful with incredible shine. It is formulated for all hair types to fill voids in the hair cuticle helping to create smooth styles. It can even be used as a light moisturizing oil to relieve dry skin, leaving it soft and nourished.

These sound like really nice hair products. I color my hair so this sounds perfect for me!
I really need something like this especially at this time of year with all of the wind and dryness my hair is not looking so healthy. Plus I am interested in using a product that works well with colored hair.

I need to purchase these awesome sounding Silk 21 Hair Products for my Daughter and Grand Daughter. I could just add it to their Christmas Gifts. They both have dry damaged hair . They both dye their hair and use Hair Dryers, curling irons and straighting iron. Thank You for this awesome review.. I am sold. 🙂
