Tips for Dressing Your Windows for the Season

October 15, 2017 by Sam H.

The draperies and curtains that you hang on your windows influence the overall look and feel of any room. These decorations have the ability to tie together your entire decorative scheme or draw attention to the windows themselves.

Regardless of what your style goals are for your home, you may want to dress up the windows with insulated draperies, mini-blinds, Lace Curtains, valances, and other decorations. You can shop for the latest styles in all lengths, widths, and colors on websites for local decorators, Paul’s Home Fashions, interior decorators, and other suppliers of top quality home furnishings.

Tips for Dressing Your Windows for the Season

Lace in Colors

If you are not familiar with these curtains, you may not be aware that this material comes in more colors than just white and ecru. While you may not be interested in pink, blue, or yellow lace, you can shop online and find more muted and elegance colors like gray, brown, and beige.

These muted colors make the lace well-suited for hanging alone as its own separate curtain or as a sheer that will hang under a top layer of draperies. The colors also go well with any decorative scheme so you can change out the furniture and colors of the room without having to hang new curtains.

Lace in Widths and Lengths

The curtains are also available in varying widths and lengths for your convenience. The length of the curtains you select has the ability to influence the entire look and comfort of the room in which they hang.

For example, floor length curtains look elegant and more formal, making them ideal for hanging in a formal dining room, living room, or bedroom with fancier decorations and furnishings. Alternatively, shorter length curtains can be hung in a kitchen, breakfast nook, bathroom, or children’s bedroom. The shorter length makes the room look and feel more informal and relaxing.

You can find curtains in lengths up to 84 inches and as short as 24 inches. You can preview what they will look like by clicking on the length you are interested in on the left side of the page. You can also click on the picture of the curtains to find out how they might look in your home before you order them from the website.

Curtains made out of lace can add beauty and comfort to your home. You can shop for different colors, lengths, and widths by browsing the selections on the website.

Those plaid curtains would give the room a different look. I think it would be interesting to change my curtains and drapes from time to time.

I still need some curtains in our new home. I will have to look at these and see what I can get. I don’t like to shop for curtains. This is good for me.

I dont change or window curtains at all since we only have one set for them all. I think I change the kitchen ones but the others have drapes and are a pain. I do love those plaid and could see those maybe in the kitchen. It gets so cold here drapes are about the only option it seems.

I like those plaid curtains. Looking on the site they have another one called ‘Moose Curtains’ which I adore!
