Organize Your Jewelry with this Quick and Easy Tip!

Frugal Tips by Shelly at TwoClassyChicsLike most women, I have a lot of jewelry and I’m always looking for inexpensive ways to keep my jewelry organized. To date, I have two large jewelry boxes and one free-standing jewelry armoire. I like to keep my gold items in one, my sterling silver items in the second one and my fashion jewelry in the third.

Even though I own jewelry boxes and armoires, I was still having issues with keeping things organized, especially my earrings. It seems like I was always losing a mate or getting chains & other items tangled up in them. Well, I solved my problem with this quick and easy tip!

Organize Your Earrings with Clean & Empty Chocolate Candy Trays

I started saving those plastic trays that come in chocolate gift boxes which are the perfect little trays to organize your earrings, neck chains or bracelets chains. They’re the perfect size to fit into my armoire drawers or if you have a vanity, you can place one in a vanity drawer to keep little things organized in there too.

All I did was wash them out with a little liquid soap and water. Left them air dry on a towel to make sure that they were completely clean. Clean out your drawer or large jewelry box. Mate up those earrings, place them into the tray and then insert the tray into the drawer. That’s it…quick and easy!

As you can see in my photograph, things are mated together and neatly organized. I can now find what I want and do it within seconds! So far, I’ve done this trick in 3 of the drawers in my larger armoire and I have one of the trays sitting in a desk drawer sorting out little office supplies (staples, tacks, paper clips, erasers, etc.).

So…next time you get a box of chocolates, don’t throw out those chocolate candy trays! You can wash them and then use them around the house to get yourself organized!
