Fun Frugal Finds: Vintage-Looking Glass Holiday Ornaments

October 30, 2017 by Shelly

Frugal Finds and Hot DealsA few weeks ago I headed into my local A.C. Moore’s store looking for some Fall & Autumn items for my home. They’ve been advertising big sales on all of that stuff for weeks now. Sure, I went in and I bought a few things for 40% off, but what I showing you all today was an even BIGGER deal!

First…I decorate my Christmas tree every year in a beach & coastal theme. I picked up six vintage-style glass ball ornaments in a pretty light turquoise color for my tree. I would of purchased more…if they had more! They’re quite large in size, about 4″ in diameter. Original price was $12.99 each. I paid $1.00 each and they’re beautiful.

I then spotted the vintage-style glass Princess ornament and snatched that one up for my 8 year old granddaughter and the elf riding a reindeer for my 2 year old grandson. Original price was $12.99 each. I paid $1.00 each.

The clerk told me that these ornaments are from last year’s stock and they were clearing them out now, because the 2017 stock was already on their shelves. Well, I don’t care that they’re from last year…they still look beautiful for this year.

So, on this bargain hunt…I snagged up 8 glass Christmas Tree ornaments for $1.00 each and still paid LESS THAN the full price for one! Each one originally cost $12.99 and I paid $8.00 plus tax and got eight of them. Yes…I love bargain shopping!!!

In a few weeks I will be publishing a Christmas Traditions post here on the blog where I’m giving you a few tips on how to start an ornament collection for your kids and/or grandchildren in your life and how to do it at a bargain price, etc. Look for that post in the near future.

What kind of bargains, deals, thrift store and/or flea market-yard sale finds have you found the past week? Any good deals out there?

Wow, that’s quite a deal! I usually purchase my ornaments in January, when they’re on clearance.

You really found some great buys. I never was that imaginative with decorating our Christmas tree.

What great buys! I’ve been lucky enough to find cleasrance items at AC Moore in the past. Love when that happens!

You are truly the queen of bargains! Such pretty ornaments, and for a buck each, they seem even prettier. (Why is it that knowing you got a great deal on something makes it more special?) My latest bargain was a 7″ springform pan for $3.99 at Aldi. It seemed like a good price, although not a steal. The pan is the perfect size to fit in my electric pressure cooker. Now all I have to do is find a recipe to use it–ha!

Beautiful ornaments!! I love it when I find a good bargain like that!! I always make a point to check out the clearance bins at the stores to see what I can find, especially after the holidays!

I love a great bargain too. I love to shop at Hobby Lobby after holidays at 90% off. It lets me get items I would not normally get.

Lovely ornaments at a rock bottom price. My friend has lots of interesting ornaments for her tree.

I wish that we had this store near me! I love a frugal find, I must admit it.
