American Flatbread Pizza – Perfect for Family Movie Night

October 12, 2017 by Shelly

American Flatbread Sliced Tomato & 5 Cheese PizzaTwice a month my family enjoys getting together for a family movie night. During our get-together’s we like to serve pizza, barbecue wings, French fries, onion rings and of course, popcorn!

American Flatbread is a company tucked away in the White Mountains of New England where artisan bakers work an earthen oven formed with clay. Here, from the union of fire, rock and the finest all natural ingredients comes a carefully prepared handmade flatbread that is truly nutritious, light, crisp, flavorful and wonderfully convenient.

Recently we had the opportunity to try out a complimentary pizza from American Flatbread, made from all natural ingredients. The Sliced Tomato & 5 Cheese Pizza is made with a homemade tomato sauce, 5 type’s of natural cheese, sliced tomatoes and herbs.  The crust is made from 100% organically grown wheat, mountain water, kosher salt and fresh yeast.

The pizza can be baked in a conventional oven at 425 degrees for 5-8 minutes or make it on your grill. The package gives you instructions for both methods. We chose to make our’s in a conventional oven and it turned out great!

My family loves a “thin crust” pizza and this is exactly that! Next, it isn’t swamped in a lot of tomato sauces and it has just the right amount of cheese. We’re not fans of overly-saucy pizzas or pizzas that have rubbery-style cheese. You can really tell that this company uses quality ingredients!  The pizza is on the smaller-size, so when we have family movie night…we do need to make 2 or 3 of them to feed all five of us.  With that said, they’re the perfect size for hubby and I for lunch or dinner. We typically each get two large slices, with perhaps one smaller slice leftover.

This was the second time we’ve reviewed an American Flatbread Pizza and I have to admit…this one was our favorite. You can check out our previous review on the mushroom & cheese pizza if you’re interested in that.

You can learn more about American Flatbread by visiting the company’s website online and by connecting with the company on Facebook.

This is the first time I have heard of this flatbread. I would love to try it because I love fresh thin crust.

This looks like a very yummy pizza especially since I am a fan of thin crust New York style pizza. I haven’t not noticed this brand in my local store but will look for it.

I love a thin crust too. Its just my husband & I so the smaller size would be fine with us. Just add a salad and we are all set.

I have not tried these yet but now I think I will give it a try. At first I didn’t like thin crust but now I do and I love that it is lower in calories. Have a nice weekend.

I have never seen these. I’ll have to buy a few to throw on the grill for those who are getting impatient for the main course!

I have not heard of them but think I would like it because of the thin crust. I like that it can also be cooked on the grill. Thank you for the review.
