Title: 150 Best Meals in a Jar
Author: Tanya Linton
Publisher: Robert Rose
ISBN: 978-0-7788-0528-1

Synopsis: Canning jars art the perfect vessels for healthy and delicious salads. You simply put the dressing on the bottom, add layers of heavier or harder foods and then top with lighter ingredients, such as fresh leafy greens. Everything stays crisp and separate until you’re ready to dump the salad into a bowl, toss and enjoy.

These tempting and innovative recipes store well in the fridge, so you can make several days’ worth of lunches and/or dinners ahead of time. Then all you have to do is grab-n-go. S'more in a Jar
S’more in a Jar

This book has a really nice selection of recipes, something for everyone and all of them are easy-to-prepare. They’re great to prepare during the weekend (we like making them up on Sunday) and then grabbing them throughout the busy work-week when we need something quick to eat. My husband has been taking several of them to work with him, to enjoy during his lunch break.

So far, we’ve made 7 of the different recipes in the book and I’m looking forward to trying out many more. Matter of fact, a few days ago I whipped up the Banana S’mores in a Jar Recipe and oh my gosh…they were a hit with my entire family! All you need for that recipe are graham cracker crumbs, butter, bananas, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. You then follow the author’s assembly instructions and then the heating instructions when you want to enjoy them (made in the microwave). LOVE LOVE LOVE and I mean LOVE that recipe! I think I could eat them every day!
