Like most pets, my dogs Otis and Maverick love lounging on their pet beds. Aside from the comfort factor, I believe they truly enjoy having their own things; their beds, toys, and blankets are all very special to them.
They get excited when they get something new (they always know when something’s for them, but don’t ask me how!), and their new Snappy Snoozers bed was no exception. As soon as I started opening the box, my waggy-tailed audience was eager to see what they were getting.
Their new Snappy Snoozers pet bed is an inflatable mattress with a snap-on fleece cover. The kit includes a zip-close travel tote, the inflatable mattress, two fleece covers, and a foot-pump for inflating and deflating the mattress. The firmness of the mattress can be changed by adjusting the amount of air in it; I found that my dogs prefer it about half-full, so it was kind of squishy. The durable PVC mattress is simple to clean with a sanitizing wipe, and the covers are machine washable and dryable, making it perfect for owners of pets that have incontinence problems, since the entire bed can be quickly sanitized.
To be perfectly honest, I had a hard time getting the included pump to inflate the mattress, despite Maverick’s close supervision. The tubes kept popping off the stems, and the air didn’t seem to flow through the valve. So I just used lung power and blew up the mattress like a balloon, and in no time, it was inflated and the cover was attached, ready for Otis’s inspection.
The cover goes over the top and sides of the mattress, leaving the bottom uncovered. The plastic snaps are along the sides toward the bottom edge of the mattress, and they snap closed easily, firmly holding the cover in place. Likewise, they also easily unsnap, making it a cinch to change covers when necessary.
Snappy Snoozers’ unique materials and construction make it great for use outdoors. The first day I put the Snappy Snoozers bed out on the deck, there was a surprise rain shower, after which both the fleece cover and the mattress air-dried in no time—a much different scenario than if I had left a regular pet bed out in the rain!
Snappy Snoozers beds are available in two sizes, small (22″x16″x4″) and large (34″x22″x4″), which sell for $69.99 and $79.99, respectively. The fleece covers come in several colors, and additional replacement covers are also available for purchase. The small size is ideal for cats or small dogs, while the large size is best suited for bigger dogs or households with multiple pets that snuggle together.

I love the idea of having a pet bed like this which could easily be put outside on a porch. I would not have to worry about rain.
This would be a great gift for my son’s dog. She loves her beds but they gets so dirty and smelly that they need to be thrown out frequently. Having something adjustable that can be washed and dried would be a big plus. I had no idea there were inflatable beds for dogs.
Thats pretty nifty that it is inflatable. With a senior dog this would be nice because it is ‘adjustable’ for when they might have more aches and pains. I like how durable it seems to be.
That would be a great present for my sister and her dog. I like that you can have it outside.
I have never seen an inflatable mattress for dogs this is cool. I think it is so sweet that they soooo know when it is something for them. Our dogs have their own beds. blankets and toys too and they so know when we buy something for them.
