Selk’bag is the Wearable, Warm Sleeping Bag

Selk'bagAs a camper, I thought I’d seen all the coolest supplies and gadgets. I was recently introduced to a really unique product that I hadn’t come across before. Today, I’d like to tell you about Selk’bag, which is a wearable, form-fit sleeping bag that provides fun, comfort and mobility and is not only ideal for camping, but is great for just having around the house, at sporting events or even for evenings out on the back lawn on a cooler evening.

Selk’bag has been around since 2006 and is not only innovative, but comfortable, versatile, super snuggly and warm. Inspired by the lost Selk’nam natives of Tierra del Fuego, Chile, nomadic people who dressed sparingly despite the cold climate.

I decided that I’d have my husband, Tony, try out the Selk’bag as he’s an outdoorsy kind of guy and we camp quite a bit. We received the Selk’bag 5G Lite in Asphalt Grey, so it’s definitely a great color for the guys. I like to sleep indoors, but he’s the kind of guy that likes to lie out under the stars and experience nature, so I thought this would be perfect for him. Tony thought it was a very cozy and warm product that will definitely be used when we are camping in the colder spots. It was easy to put on and take off and he liked that the booties on the bottom were removable. Our dog, Winston, also seemed to enjoy snuggling with him while he was wearing the Selk’bag. It was hard to capture a photo without him on Tony’s lap!

This product isn’t just for the grown ups either. The Selk’bag is available in children’s sizes, so you can keep the little ones warm and toasty as well. The Selk’bag comes in a roll like a sleeping bag and is lightweight and easy to transport. Even though the Selk’bag is lightweight, it’s not flimsy. It is a well-made and simple to put on with its anatomical shape, removable booties and a 44-degree temperature rating.

There are a variety of styles available on the Selk’bag website, including Star Wars designs, which are sure to be a hit with all the loyal fans of the franchise. The bag that we received is currently on sale on the website for $49.50, which is a terrific deal.

    I went to the sponsor’s site and I learned that the company was inspired by the Selk’nam natives of Tierra del Fuego, Chile. I think that is so interesting and smart of a company to do this kind of research. I looked at their bags and I would love to have the Selk’bag Instinct Realtree® Xtra that bag is amazing and would make the perfect gift for someone I know.

    I learned that the Selk Original has removable booties, a kangaroo pocket is is more anatomically correct. I would love this in their SELK’BAG 5G ORIGINAL, BLACK CAVE. That way hubby or I could wear it. I think this is awesome!
