Sweese Butter Keeper CrockWhen I traveled around Europe several years ago I noticed that a lot of people used butter crocks to keep their butter fresh, at room temperature. These crocks serve an important purpose and they look beautiful sitting on your table or kitchen counter.

Let me introduce you to the Sweese Butter Keeper Crock that’s available in 5 different pretty colors. For this review & feature, I received the turquoise colored crock, which goes perfectly in my coastal-style home.

It’s made out of lead-free ceramic and is chip & stain resistant. This crock will help to keep your butter fresh and odor-free for up to 30 days at room temperature. To use, simply fill up the base with water to the water-fill line and place your softened butter into the lid. Place the filled lid into the base and you’re ready-to-go. Every 3 days, you’ll want to replace the water in the base. That’s it!

Why use water? Well, the water creates an airtight seal which keeps air and odors out! By storing your butter like this…you’re keep it spreadable at all times without the need for refrigeration which typically hardens it up. It will hold 1 stick at a time and is dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and oven-safe.

We love using butter on our rolls, muffins, bread, etc., but in the past the butter had to be softened up, so that it didn’t rip up the bread. Well, that’s a problem of the past! By storing our butter in the butter keeper crock, it’s always soft and spreadable! We absolutely LOVE IT!

    I think turquoise is my favorite color in the butter crocks. I love that you can leave this out of the fridge so the butter stays spreadable. My Grandma had a similar butter keeper when I was a kid & it stayed on her kitchen table.
