Where Should You Be Eating When Living in Manchester?

May 20, 2017 by Sam H.

Where Should You Be Eating When Living in ManchesterManchester is not only home to the most secret football club, but it also the home of many brilliant restaurants. These are Michelin stars and common roadside joints. However, they have one thing in common. They will ignite the hunger for real food in you.

Manchester has brilliant, wholesome burgers and brainstorming brunches. From deconstructed kebabs to dedicated Michelin-star Italian dining. You will find it all in one city. Whether you are looking to splash on a ten-course menu or a happy meal with your family and kids, Manchester has it all.

Burger Boom –

If you want to try the best burgers in the city, you should try Almost Famous. This is a new take on indie burgers. It perfectly exemplifies the burger boom that has taken the city by storm. You can even try the Five Guys and Byron for the old-school, diner feel. Dog Bowl, Handmade Burger Company and Archies just complete the list of the best restaurants in Manchester with their extensive menu. The customization options are unending. These burger joints strewn across the city has seen enough celebrity clientele over the years to write their script on burgers and the bourgeoisie. Do not forget the old timers like the Hard Rock Café once you are out in search of a wholesome burger to shove into your face while you secretly thank the Star Spangled Banner for the sinful delicacy.

Pizza Panorama –

Pizzas in the city have started a new revolution that includes two of the best pizzerias in the world. Rudy’s and Honest Crust have made it to the lists of many celebs, chefs and food lovers. A few other must-visits for a new take on the old favorite include Ply, Crazy Pedro’s and Slice. Do not forget Pizza Express for a daily dose of the cheese overdose. Yes, we are talking about the chain, and it has made it to this list simply because it is awesome if you are thinking about going out with your kids.

Boozy Brunches and Boisterous Breakfasts –

What is an English town without the option of experiencing a full English fry-up breakfast and brunch? Alabama’s is an American-inspired brunch haunt that offers freshly made crab cakes, a fresh take on eggs benedict and buttermilk (and scores of other varieties) pancakes. Common on Edge Street is one of the original brunch pioneers in the area. They have patented the mashed avocado on toast, class eggs with a twist and other additions to a full English breakfast menu. If you have a particularly big appetite after a night of bottomless drinking, sign up for a Bottomless Brunch deal at the Pen and Pencil.

It doesn’t matter if you are a picky eater who relishes various flavors or a hearty eater who appreciates food as a whole. You will find something to fill your heart (and your stomach) in Manchester. The city is maturing regarding gastronomic experience.

Author Bio: Claire Hutch is a food blogger and reviewer. She has been working with the Gourmet Guide UK to list the best flavors of the city. Her job is to find the unique food and cuisines the city has to offer and present them to you.
