Repel Bugs Naturally with Fairy Tales Bug Bandit Spray

April 10, 2017 by Jenelle

Repel Bugs Naturally with Fairy Tales Bug Bandit SprayMy family spends a lot of time outdoors, whether it be in our backyard or out exploring the world. We enjoy taking family hikes, boating, fishing, spending time at the lake and all sorts of outdoor activities. One thing we don’t like? All of the bugs and bug bites that come along with it.

If you’re looking for a natural bug repellent that is pesticide-free, DEET-free and contains no harsh chemicals, I’ve got the perfect one for you!

Fairy Tales Bug Bandit DEET-Free Bug Spray is made for children, but the entire family can use it. This one bug spray will repel mosquitoes, fleas, ticks and biting flies with just a few sprays. Plus, it is free of harsh chemicals, pesticides, toxins, parabens, sulfates, dairy, gluten, and nuts that can trigger allergic reactions. One of the best things? It’s non-toxic and has proven to be effective.

The spray is infused with natural herbs & oils like lemon, eucalyptus, rose geranium, lemongrass, citronella and cedar bark to provide long-lasting protection. To apply: Shake well and then spray from head-to-toe. You’ll want to re-apply it regularly, since it’s based off of scent. In other words, you want to smell like this spray to keep the bugs away.

We received a complimentary bottle to try out for you, so we put it through a good test last weekend when we had the kids out by the lake. Normally my children will each get 4-8 bug bites when playing around the lake area, so I was excited to give the Bug Bandit a try. I sprayed each child from heat-to-toe at the beginning of our play session and then repeated the application an hour later. We spent a total of 2 1/2 hours there, during the early evening hours when bugs like to come out to play too.

The next morning I inspected each child and I found one bug bite on my son and none on my daughter. Wow! I find that to be impressive since no bug repellent is 100% effective, this one did extremely well. The one bite that my son had was a tiny one and usually his will swell up to the size of plums. Pretty happy with these results!

The Bug Bandit spray works off the power of scent and I have to say, it doesn’t smell badly at all. Matter of fact, it smells better than the majority of name-brand bug repellents that I’ve previously smelled. It’s the type of bug repellent that my children don’t mind using.

You can learn more about the Fairy Tales Bug Bandit Spray by visiting the company’s website. The company offers some really cool products and I’m hoping that I can try out a few others in the near future.

I know this company from the hair products they make and didn’t know they made bug spray. I’m fair skinned and can get scars from some bug bites so I’m definitely interested in a natural product like this that works. I like using some kid’s products since they have less toxic ingredients.

We like to hike as a family but sometimes the best places are by lakes and the bugs can be so annoying and pesky. This sounds perfect for the whole family and something to use on our hikes and adventures.

Here in Colorado we don’t get too many bugs. Mosquitoes and ticks, some. Fleas and biting flies, not that I’ve come across. I’m all for natural products like this. NO DDT for me.

I too am impressed by this spray. I love that it is natural and you know when to apply it since you need to smell it to know that it is working.
