Two years ago I jumped on the adult coloring bandwagon and invested in my first set of adult coloring books, colored pencils and gel ink pens. Over the past two years I’ve added at least 25 additional coloring books to my collection along with various coloring tools. I find that this hobby is a great way to de-stress after a long day and it’s a great way for me to explore my creative side.
If you’re new to adult coloring or just want to improve upon your artistic skills, I highly recommend that you check out this brand new book!

My Thoughts: I admit, I prefer using gel ink pens when I color. With that said, a lot of the tips found within this book can be used with gel ink pens too. From time to time I dabble using colored pencils and I think that now that I’ve learned a few tips on how to properly use them, I’ll be using my colored pencils a lot more.
This book is great no matter what your skill level is…from beginners to experts. All of the hints, tricks and tips are spelled out in layman’s terms with great examples given to you on how to apply them. I really learned a LOT by reading the “blending colors” section in the book and have been blending my colors together a lot better now. Matter of fact, the whole process is a lot easier once you read how to do it in the book!
Finally, I really appreciate that they included 8 coloring pages inside the book so that you can practice what you’ve learned. The included designs are beautiful and will really help you hone your new skills!
