The Goodyear Blimp

How many of you follow the activities of the various Goodyear Blimps? Personally, I normally don’t pay attention to it…unless it’s flying around my home city or if it’s up in the skies above me while I’m attending an event.

In the past year…we’ve been fortunate enough to see the Goodyear Blimp 3 different times. I think the last time that I saw one flying above was 4 or 5 years ago. I know we don’t see them often around here at all.

A few weeks ago one was flying around our capitol city, I’m not sure why but it was pretty cool to sit outside on our deck and see it hovering above. Luckily for us, we live within a 15 minute car ride from a major airport, so the blimp was low enough for us to get a good look at it.

If you had the opportunity to go for a ride on the Goodyear Blimp, would you do it? Why or why not? Personally, I don’t know if I would. The last time I took a flight (via jetliner) I ended up having all kinds of medical problems midway through it. Since then, I haven’t flown again.
