Colgate is shaking things up with the latest addition to the Colgate Total® portfolio – new Colgate Total® Advanced Health Mouthwash. Building on the dual phase trend seen in many health and beauty products, this mouthwash is the first oral care product to contain two-layer technology; combining freshening power with germ killing ingredients (cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC)). First, shake the bottle to activate, next clean to remove 24x more bacteria* and then you will see the results in the sink! Simply – Shake, Clean, See – for a healthier mouth!

Colgate Total® Advanced Health Mouthwash

We received a complimentary bottle of the new Colgate Total® Advanced Health Mouthwash to try out for all of you. Before I get on with my review, I have to admit upfront that Colgate Total is our preferred brand when it comes to oral care products. We’re regular user’s of their various toothpastes and toothbrushes.

First, as soon as you take the cap off you’ll smell mint and trust me, when you taste it, you’ll taste the minty flavor too. It’s really important that you shake the bottle every time you use the mouthwash to activate it. While you can pour the mouthwash into the cap of the bottle, we use a small med cup, which keeps our bottle clean. In other words, putting the cap back onto the bottle after you’ve poured mouthwash into it, makes the outside of the bottle messy. We found it better to wash out the cap and not use it when it came to dispensing the product.

Overall, we really liked the taste of the mouthwash and it did a great job at helping our mouth’s to feel clean. Plus, my husband’s bad breath stayed at-bay for at least 24 hours before it returned. So, I give it an A+ on all of those benefits. When it comes to the mixing & activating the product before each use, I give it a C+. Sometimes we really had to stand there and take several minutes out of our day to get it to mix thoroughly.

I admit, we use and love Colgate Total® oral care products. However, I like some of the other Colgate Total® mouthwashes more than I liked this one. Just being honest here and your opinion may differ from mine.

    I have used the Total Colgate toothpaste as well as many other colgate products. Ive never tried their mouthwash.

    I love Colgate products. Right now, I am using the Colgate total whitening toothpaste that removes and prevent stains. It leaves your teeth very clean!

    I have tried the Colgate toothpastes and the toothbrushes but not the mouth wash yet. I will have to pick this up the next time I am in the store I love try new products and this one sounds really good.
