Family Movie Night: SINGSING Special Edition is available with 3 New Mini-Movies on March 21 – just in time for Friday Family Movie Night!

This past weekend we had both of our grandchildren overnight for a family movie night. For this particular family movie night we all sat down to watch the brand new DVD movie release SING which includes 3 special-edition mini movies!

The movie is available now on Digital HD and you can pick it up on Blu-ray, DVD and on-Demand starting on March 21st, 2017.

The music-filled comedy will include over 60-minutes of bonus content and will incorporate three all-new entertaining mini movies featuring the cast from SING as well as an exclusive Tori Kelly music video and a variety of musical extras.

From Illumination, the studio that brought you The Secret Life of Pets and the Despicable Me franchise, comes an animated comedy about finding the music that lives inside all of us. SING stars Academy Award® winner† Matthew McConaughey as Buster Moon, an eternally optimistic koala who puts on the world’s greatest singing competition to save his crumbling theater; Academy Award® winner†† Reese Witherspoon as Rosita, an overworked and unappreciated mother of 25 piglets desperate to unleash her inner diva; Scarlett Johansson as Ash, a punk rock porcupine with a beautiful voice behind her prickly exterior; Taron Egerton as Johnny, a young gangster gorilla looking to break free of his family’s felonies; as well as Seth MacFarlane, John C. Reilly, and Grammy Award-nominated Tori Kelly. SING is the musical comedy event of the year!

The Golden Globe nominee for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, SING features more than 65 hit songs including ‘Faith,’ a brand new song by the legendary Stevie Wonder (featuring Ariana Grande), marking his first song for a major film release in 25 years.

Our Thoughts: This is one animated movie that my family has been anxiously awaiting to arrive and now it’s finally here! For our family movie night, we had 2 adults and 2 children (ages 7 1/2 years and 19 months old) sit down to watch it. As always, we enjoyed a few snacks and beverages during the show.

One of the reasons I personally enjoyed this movie is that it’s something different! I’m getting tired of the princess, prince and super-hero type of movies for children…time for new stuff and this animated movie is definitely different!

All of the characters are adorable and each one is unique in their own way. You really get a “sense” of their individual personalities and the story line is entertaining from start to finish. All of the music is expertly done and numerous times I caught the kids singing or humming along.

On our entertainment rating scale, we’re giving this one 9 popcorn buckets out of 10 popcorn buckets. It’s fantastic!

    I have not seen this movie yet, but I would love to sit down together and watch it with my family. I think we would all really enjoy it because it looks hilarious and adorable!

    We have not seen this one yet. We always laughed at the commercials about the film on tv. We like the singing and the characters look fun. We do a movie night, almost every week.

    We have not seen Sing yet, but we’ve heard it’s excellent, and we do have family movie rental nights. My sister and her children told us that Sing was funny and engaging.

    We havent seen it yet. I think it looks great and funny! I have seen several trailers for it, and it just seems like a good movie with plenty of laughs. Yes we have movie nights!

    I’ve not seen the movie yet but think the trailers I have seen are so fun and hilarious. I’d love to get this one since it would keep us adults as well as kids entertained, and make for a great movie night for all. The bonus material is great too and who doesn’t love to sing along to these popular tunes?!

    We have not seen it yet but would like to because it looks like it is very entertaining and has lots of fabulous music and both my grandkids love to sing and dance around. We do have some family movie nights on Fridays.
