Adult Coloring Books that Empower Women to Embrace Wackiness

March 27, 2017 by Shelly

Suzy Toronto Adult Coloring Books“Pretending to be normal day after day is exhausting,” says Suzy Toronto. Toronto is a self-proclaimed “wacky” woman, and she wants others to embrace their inner wackiness too. In fact, she’s created an entire art brand that speaks (mostly) to girls and women, inspiring them to embrace their rarity, goofiness, and everything that makes them unique—no matter how silly it may seem.

Toronto works out of her home studio in Smyrna Beach, Florida where she creates playful and distinctive artwork for a variety of products—from mugs to coloring books to cell phone covers and everything in between. Her newest creations come in the form of coloring books with her latest book, Tingle Boots, stating loud and proud that “life is better in boots.”

Four additional books comprise this series: Friendship Coloring Book, Sisterhood Coloring Book, Inspiration &Encouragement Coloring Book, and Light & Laughter Coloring Book. In each book, Suzy Toronto sprinkles encouraging and empowering quotes. “Release your inner child and believe in yourself again,” Toronto says. “There’s more inside you than you ever dreamed possible!”

My Thoughts: If you’ve been following this blog for the past 2 years, you’ll already know that I love adult coloring books and I’m an avid adult colorist. I probably own 50+ books in my current collection. They’re a great way to relax, unwind and de-stress after a long day. Plus, as a crafter, they’re a great avenue for my creative outlet.

For this feature I received four adult coloring books by Suzy Toronto.

Light & Laughter Coloring Book

Light & Laughter Coloring Book – This is a full-size adult coloring book containing 80 pages with perforated edges, so that you can easily tear them out. The designs are printed on extra-thick, high-quality paper, so you can use your gel ink pens, markers, colored pencils, crayons or watercolors.

Friendship Adult Coloring Book

Friendship Coloring Book – This is a full-size adult coloring book containing 80 pages with perforated edges, so that you can easily tear them out. The designs are printed on extra-thick, high-quality paper, so you can use your gel ink pens, markers, colored pencils, crayons or watercolors.

Color Inspiration Adult Coloring Book

Color Inspiration Coloring Book – This is an on-the-go sized adult coloring book containing 60 pages with perforated edges, so that you can easily tear them out. It’s perfect sized for on-the-go use measuring 5″ wide by 8″ high. The designs are printed on extra-thick, high-quality paper, so you can use your gel ink pens, markers, colored pencils, crayons or watercolors.

Sisterhood Adult Coloring Book

Color Sisterhood Coloring Book – This is an on-the-go sized adult coloring book containing 60 pages with perforated edges, so that you can easily tear them out. It’s perfect sized for on-the-go use measuring 5″ wide by 8″ high. The designs are printed on extra-thick, high-quality paper, so you can use your gel ink pens, markers, colored pencils, crayons or watercolors.

One of the things I love about this particular set of adult coloring books are the very detailed designs! Once you complete them, you can turn them into works of art. Try framing them to hang on the wall or to sit on a bookshelf. Laminate your finished designs to turn them into small-sized placemats or trim out some of your finished designs and turn them into embellishments for your scrapbook pages and homemade greeting cards. There are a ton of things you can do with your completed pages!

Suzy Toronto Adult Coloring Books

The designs are printed on high-quality paper, so I’m able to use my glitter gel-ink pens and markers with no bleeding or tearing of the paper at all. Each design is printed only on one side and I love that the artist has full-color examples of various completed pages sprinkled throughout each book to give you coloring ideas. In addition, she includes coloring tips and explains how to use the color wheel to help guide you on color selection. Super cool.

I’ve been coloring in this books ever since I received them and absolutely LOVE them! I plan on completing each and every design! I’m sharing a few of my completed pages in this post and I think I did a pretty good job!

You can buy these fantastic adult coloring books by Suzy Toronto along with various other cool items that she makes directly from her online store. You’ll find day planners, Christmas items, greeting cards, calendars, notecards, bookmarks, bag tags, art prints and more! Beautiful items for yourself or to give as gifts!
