The Best Valentine’s Day Treats for the Classroom

February 5, 2017 by Jenelle

The Best Valentine's Day Treats for the ClassroomValentine’s Day is only a few days away and many parents are getting ready for their child’s Valentine’s Day party at school. Every year, my daughter looks forward to these type’s of parties at her school, but they’re pretty strict with what the kids can bring in.

For example: They’re not allowed to bring in treats that contain any type of nuts and all treats must be wrapped in sealed individual packages. If your school has a no-nuts policy, make sure you read all labels carefully. Homemade treats are only allowed if they’re provided by the teacher or the school itself.

Struggling for some ideas on what your child can take to school for their Valentine’s Day party? Here are some ideas!

Welch's Fruit Snacks in Valentine's Day Pouches

Welch’s Fruit Snacks in Valentine’s Day Pouches
Fruit-Flavored Lollipops
Miniature Chocolate Candies
Freeze-Dried Fruit Snacks
Miniature Packs of Raisins
String Cheese
Beef Sticks
Beef Jerky
Pixie Stix
Juice Boxes
Pudding Snack Cups
Jello Snack Cups
Fruit Snack Cups
Yogurt Snack Cups
Cake Pops
Cereal Snack Bars
Granola Bars
Rice Krispies Treats
Rolls of Lifesavers
Chewing Gum
Fresh Fruit (oranges, apples or bananas) cleared w/teacher

Non-Food Treats: pencils, fun erasers, mini note pads, sticky note pads, colored pencils, markers, plastic sunglasses, fun pads, activity books, etc.  A lot of these type’s of items are available at your local “dollar-type” of store.

A lot of parents do the inexpensive lollipops with the Valentine’s Day card, so we avoid doing those. This year, both of my children will be handing out Welch’s Fruit Snacks in the Mixed Fruit Flavor to their classmates, along with their cards. These fruit snacks are super-fun to give because they’re made with real fruit and come in adorable Valentine’s Day theme’d packages!

What kind of things do you like to send in for your child’s Valentine’s Day party at school?

It has been a long time since I had a child in school, but in a few years my grandchildren will be going to school. This is a very convenient list of items, including the non-edible things. The Dollar type store would be perfect for picking them up.

My grandson is in nursery school. There is a list of no good snacks. But there is so much to choose from these days. And they are all in such cute packaging.

I like seeing more non-food items since most of these foods are processed and even kids need to decrease their intake of processed and sugary foods. We just reinforce these foods when we offer them at the holidays and as rewards. I’m currently listening to a set of DVDs called The Case Against Sugar, so I’m getting off my soap box now, lol.

This is quite a useful list of things children can bring to School. I am glad schools havesuch strict restrictions on what the children eat. Everything on the list is Healthy for them. The Welches fruit snacks are really good, I buy them for myself and my Grandchildren .. I love them! Thank You for sharing :O)~~
