When it comes to baked goods…cookies are one of my favorite things to make, bake and eat. Seriously, I make a homemade batch of cookies at least once every week! To keep things interesting, I’m always trying out new recipes if you love chocolatey sweet treats, I think you’ll love these cookies!
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cookies Recipe
1 bag Reese’s Miniature Peanut Butter Cups
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup Reese’s Creamy Peanut Butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. granulated sugar (for rolling cookies)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Unwrap approximately 40 miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl cream together the shortening and creamy peanut butter. Beat in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in the large egg, milk and vanilla extract until creamy and blended.
In a large mixing bowl sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually beat the flour mixture into the creamed mixture until all ingredients have been combined. Tip: Sometimes my batter is too dry and I’ll add in a second tablespoon of milk.
Shape the cookie dough into 1″ diameter balls and roll into the extra granulated sugar. Place the balls onto an ungreased baking sheet. These cookies don’t really expand, so I put them onto the baking sheet only 2″ apart and have no issues with them running into one another as they bake.
Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until done. Remove from oven and place 1 Reese’s Miniature Peanut Butter Cup onto each cookie, just slightly press it into the dough. Remove cookies from sheet and let them cool on a wire rack. Once cool, store them in an airtight container. YUMMY GOOD!

My son really loves peanut butter cups, so I shall have to make this recipe soon. Perhaps I shall surprise him with them on Valentine’s Day.

I have never heard of this recipe before but I gotta try it now. I love peanut butter cups so much and these cookies sound amazing but I will probably eat too many.
These remind me a ot of the thumbprint cookies Mom would make. The ‘dip’ was filled with whatever was on hand, as as kids we would eat anything sweet! I really like the peanut butter, and adding the reesees on top these look delicious. There is no better combo for sure.
They’re are like the peanut butter cookies that you find with the Hershey’s Kiss on the top…instead of using Hershey’s Kisses, you use miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
I absolutely love Reese’s Cups! There’s not much better than chocolate & peanut butter…unless you combine them with a cookie.
(Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cookies Recipe) It’s been awhile since I have made some of these great tasting cookies.
I love peanut butter cookies. I love Reeses cups. Therefore: BEST COOKIES EVER!!
These remind me of the cookies my grandma would make for all her grandkids. They weren’t the best for the waistline but as kids, we didn’t care. She always made the cookies little so you could have several too. My favorite of hers was oatmeal scotchies, but she made M&M and peanut butter cookies often too. She was a school cook by profession, so a pro at making the best food, no matter what it was.
