7 Tips on How to Save Money on Baby Diapers

7 Tips on How to Save Money on Baby Diapers* This post was made possible by iConnect and Luvs. I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.

Having a new baby is a pretty expensive venture. You’ll incur the extra costs of providing food, clothing, baby supplies, furniture, toys, medications and car seats. Having a baby is expensive and at times it can be stressful for new parents.

One of the biggest expenses for new parents is the cost of baby diapers. They’re a necessity and your child will go through a ton of diapers before they’re potty trained. With that said, there are a lot of different ways you can save money on buying diapers.

7 Tips on How to Save Money on Baby Diapers

1. For your baby shower, have all guests bring a pack of diapers in a size other than newborn! For my daughter’s baby shower, we assigned various guests different sizes to bring. This way, she had a variety of sizes at her disposal as my grandson got older.

2. Don’t stock-up on newborn sized diapers! Many parents make the mistake of stocking up on the newborn size, but babies are ONLY in this particular size for a few weeks. In my grandson’s case, he outgrew the newborn size in just 3 short weeks!

3. Sign-up for manufacturer’s online email newsletters! If you have a favorite brand, go to their website and check to see if they have an online email newsletter. If so, sign-up! You’ll often find free samples being given away, printable coupons and other savings available to newsletter subscribers.

4. Follow your favorite diaper brand on social media! Look for them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. Often times the manufacturer will alert you to special offers, new product releases, printable couples, samples, freebies and contests that they’re hosting! Following them on social media can save you time and money!

5. Visit the company’s website often for free printable money-saving coupons! You’ll often find coupons on their website and/or on various coupon sites that you can print out at home and take to your local retail store.

6. Look for coupons in your local newspaper, national newspapers and in parenting magazines. You can clip them out and take them to the store to save money.

7. When using coupons, redeem them on double-coupon days and/or when the diapers are on sale to maximize your savings! When they’re on sale, stock up!

All of these tips are good ideas on how to save money on diapers. I like the idea of bringing different size diapers to the shower party.

This is a great post and I will remember not to buy newborn size diapers the next time I go to a baby shower. That is amazing that your grand son outgrew newborn size in only three weeks I had no idea that they outgrew that size so quickly I will remember that. Also I love the idea of assigning guest certain sizes to bring.
