Happy New Year 2017 Everyone! Wow, can you believe that we’re starting a brand new year? Yay! I’m really looking forward to 2017 and seeing what it brings to me and my family. Praying that it’s all good things this year!
On New Year’s we have the family over for a big pork, sauerkrat and mashed potatoes dinner. We prepare a lot of food, so everyone brings along their plastic containers, so that they can take leftovers home along with them.
After dinner, the adults typically sit down to watch sport’s on TV or they will watch a movie. The kids head into our family room and play with some of the new toys that arrived on Christmas. It’s always a busy and loud day here in our home!
Now that the holidays are officially over, we’ll be slowing down the pace here on the blog. The holiday gift guide was super busy and frankly, we all need a little break and need to spend some time with our families. With that said, there will still be posts, reviews, giveaways, articles, craft projects, tips, etc. going up on the blog every day, but not at the HUGE pace we did over the holidays. Kudos to all of the writers here on The Classy Chics for doing such an awesome job in 2016. They rock!
We hope everyone had a great New Year’s Eve and that you all enjoy New Year’s Day. Have a good one!

Last year was a bad one for so many people, it seems. For us, it meant the death of a friend who was far too young, & a lot of sickness. There were good days, too, obviously, but overall I hope 2017 is better.
I think it’s been a rough year all round. So many have commented how their resolutions will be geared more toward being good to themselves and working on their stress levels (myself included). With the year we’ve had, including a nasty election, lol, well, I am very happy we have a clean slate and an opportunity to start new.
(Happy New Year 2017) I am actually glad to say goodbye to 2016 because it was a really hard year this year. Not only did we loose so many great movie stars and musical artist this year. In the past two months I went and attended funeral visitations for two people that I knew. One friend was only thirty-five years old and passed of a massive heart attack on the 16th of December. I want 2017 to be the best year ever, and no sorrow, pain, or grief.
I find it hard to believe that a new year has started. I hope we all have a good and healthy 2017. I thank all the staff at TCC for the wonderful job they have always done and I am sure will continue to do. I derive a great deal of pleasure reading your blog every day.
I can’t believe it is January 1, 2017 sounds weird. The holidays flew by like a total blur and I am happy they are over too much stress. The snow is blowing sideways here and I am looking forward to Spring. Have a great day and Happy New Year.
