Breakouts don’t just affect teenagers. Adults also experience the frustrations and challenges that come with breakouts. Clinical studies indicate that between 40 and 55 percent of the adult population age 20-40 are diagnosed with low grade, persistent acne and oily skin. According to the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, 54 percent of women older than age 25 have some facial acne. This is an issue that definitely affects me from time to time and most treatments leave my skin dry, red and itchy. I was recently introduced to Osmosis Pür Medical Skincare’s Clarify Vitamin A Blemish Serum, which is ideal for all breakouts including blackheads, cystic acne and whiteheads.
Osmosis has a unique philosophy that is based on analyzing the skin and body as a whole to treat skin conditions at their source, restoring beauty and wellness. The company’s wellness system is a program designed to optimize the skin and body’s rejuvenation process using a multi-tiered approach to heal the skin without causing inflammation.
I have been using Clarify to treat my face over last few weeks and have noticed that it is shrinking the size of my pores and definitely clearing up some of my oilier skin (on my forehead). What I really like about this product is that is powerful yet gentle on the skin. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or raw. Clarify removes the dead skin cells and clogged pores that cause acne, while it hydrates the skin. The Blemish Serum clears blemishes, normalizes oil production, shrinks pores, increases skin’s immune support, hydrates, calms inflammation, protects skin from UV rays, restores the epidermal barrier, and restores dermal thickness.
This powerful formula is made possible with patent pending Liposome Delivered Retinaldehyde, the safest and least irritating form of Vitamin A on the market with the same effectiveness as Retin A. The serum reaches deep down into the skin’s texture to promote cellular growth, restore the epidermal barrier, clear acne scarring and bring back dermal thickness. Clarify contains soothing botanical extracts and essentials oils like Basil Leaf, Rosemary, Tea Tree, White Grapefruit Peel Oil, Cucumber and Eucalyptus, that help balance the skin.
Some of the key ingredients are:
• Retinaldehyde – Vitamin A, promotes cellular turnover, helps reduce the signs of aging.
• Basil Extract (Basilicum) – Astringent to remove dirt and impurities while soothing with anti-inflammatory properties.
• Beta Glucan – Activates macrophage immune cells, protects and moisturizes, promotes healing through cell turnover, stimulates collagen synthesis and serves as an antioxidant.
• Artemisia – Plant extract with antibacterial, antiseptic, astringent, antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and anti-oxidant properties.
• Hyssopus – Herb providing antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant properties.
To use this product, you simply shake it lightly and spot-treat acne areas daily for 4-8 weeks. You can then add 1-2 pumps to daily regimen morning and evening.

This sounds like a great product. I could use it to treat the blackheads around my nose. I am lucky to not have a serious acne problem, but I don’t know why so many people think that acne and skin conditions only affect the young.
Thanks for the information I have a adult niece that has a lot of skin problems, I am going to pass this along to her.
