The Secret Life of Lilykins is a beautifully illustrated and fun to read book for children of all ages.
Lilykins lives with her brother Charlie and her two dads. She seems like an everyday cat but she is anything but that. She has a big imagination and goes on adventures without ever leaving her home! From sitting on her kitty throne in her cat kingdom to saving her ocean friends from harm her life is anything but dull!
This book not only is a delightful read with it’s fun rhymes and adorable illustrations but it also touches on the importance of protecting our environment and that all families are not the same. I haven’t seen this in a children’s book before reading this book and that made me love it even more. It encourages children to dream big like Lilykins and let your imagination soar! This book would be a great addition to any child’s library.
I hope that Lilykins through the help of author Max Goodman continues with her fun and fantastic adventures in the future because this is such a wonderful book and I would love to see more of her antics in the future.

This books sounds really smart and one that I would love to give to a child I know. I love that it touches on the importance of the environment and it sounds really cute.
I know I would enjoy reading this book both by myself and to my grandchildren. I love that it rhymes and touches on several important issues.
I think both kids and adults often wonder what goes on in our pet’s head and pretty much consider them part of the family, treating them as another (fur) child. It looks like a great first book from this author.
