Stopping Pain with the Salonpas Pain Relieving Products

December 20, 2016 by Shelly

Salonpas Pain Relieving ProductsLike most people my age…I suffer with pain. I have chronic back, foot, shoulder and leg pain that seems to never go away. I’ve had some type of pain every day for the past 20+ years. Some days are totally miserable and other days it’s not too bad, but always there.

My husband is a pain sufferer too. He’s in his late 50’s and has terrible back pain and knee pain caused by his job. In the future, he’ll need a knee replacement, but until then, he’s deal with the pain the best that he can.

For the past few years we’ve been using a variety of pain relieving products from Salonpas. However, this is our first time experiencing one of the brand new Salonpas products. Here’s some information about it.

A new, cost-effective solution for pain management awaits aching sufferers with the launch of the maximum strength, unscented Salonpas Lidocaine 4% Pain Relieving Gel-Patch.

“Hisamitsu, the manufacturer of the Salonpas products, sent over samples of the new Salonpas® Lidocaine 4% Pain Relieving Gel Patch that is now available in retail outlets,” said Dr. Bob Arnot, award-winning broadcast journalist and author. “I tried the patch after a rigorous paddle-boarding session to address my ‘tennis elbow’ and found that the patch worked as effectively as a much stronger prescription patch.”

Salonpas Pain Relieving Products

“As many prescription Lidoderm® users are discovering, insurance companies are becoming less likely to cover this 5% Lidocaine patch,” says Dr. Arnot. “Therefore, patients have seen their prescription jump from a $20 copay to upwards of $240 for 30 patches. Salonpas Lidocaine 4% Pain Relieving Gel Patch costs about $12.00 for a box of 6 patches, or about $60.00 for 30 patches. It’s refreshing to hear of a pharmaceutical company looking to save you money, especially with all the bad press around prescription pricing that has happened recently.”

By putting the medicine right at the site of pain, bypassing the stomach and liver, Salonpas can use less medicine to deliver an effective dose.

My husband and I had the opportunity to try out the new Salonpas Lidocaine 4% Pain Relieving Gel-Patch and let me tell you, it’s fantastic! There are no stinky odors with this product and the patch stays put. It’s for the temporary relief of pain in your back, neck, shoulders, knees and elbows. I’ve been using it on my lower back and my husband has been using it on his right knee.

You apply the patch and you can get up to 8 hours of pain relief. Each pain patch contains 4% lidocaine which is used to temporarily relieve pain. They can be used by adults and children over the age of 12 years and are super easy to apply and remove. While we enjoy using all of the Salonpas products, the new Lidocaine 4% Pain Relieving Gel-Patch is quickly becoming our favorite!

I’d love to try the new maximum strength SalonPas patch with lidocaine. I already use patches for help with reading the pain of frequent migraines. I think the added lidocaine would allow the facial/scalp muscles to relax a bit more, making the patch even more effective.
