Kid’s Craft Project: Toilet Paper Roll Snowman
The holidays are quickly coming and it’s time to get the kids busy with their holiday craft projects. Today, I’m featuring a super easy kid’s craft project that whips up super quickly and you only need a few supplies that you probably already have on hand. This project is GREAT for the little kids who need simple craft projects to complete. We did this project with a group of 4 to 7 year old’s and they loved it.
When it comes to the roll of toilet paper that you need…we pick up a 4-pack of the cheap stuff at our local Dollar Store. It’s not as fuzzy & linty as the name brands, so it works perfectly for this project plus it’s cheap! If you want to get really fancy with them, you can have the kids glue on black pom-poms for the snowman’s buttons instead of drawing them on.
Kid’s Craft Project: Toilet Paper Roll Snowman
1 Roll of White Toilet Paper
1 Black Marker
1 Orange Marker
18″ Piece of Satin Ribbon
Scissors
Let the kids draw a snowman’s eyes, nose, eyebrows and buttons with markers. We used a brand of “children’s markers” which made it easier to wash it off their hands once they were finished. Once the facial features and buttons have been drawn on, let the snowman sit for 5-10 minutes to make sure the “painted” areas are dry. Once dry, use scissors to cut a piece of 18″ long ribbon. Tie the ribbon around the toilet paper roll and finish it off with a floppy bow.
You can sit these rolls out in the bathroom during the holiday season. Once the season is over, remove the first few top sheets and discard. You can then use the rest of the roll like you normally would.
