Not long ago, I had the opportunity to review Zim’s Max Crack Creme Creamy Daytime Formula skin cream, which I really like. So it was only natural that I jumped at the chance to review another Zim’s Max product. I chose Zim’s Max Aloe Acemannan Gel, specifically designed as a skin protectant for minor cuts, scrapes, abrasions, and burns.
Now, I’m not saying I’m a klutz, but it seems I’ve always got a scratch or cut or burn, so I was really looking forward to trying the Aloe Acemannan Gel. But since the day I received my tube, I haven’t hurt myself once. I even tried antagonizing the cat, but I came away without a scratch (which is probably a good thing, now that I think about it). Although I haven’t been able to try the gel for its intended purpose, I did use a bit on a patch of dry skin to see how it feels, and I’m pleased to report that it’s very good indeed. It’s a clear gel, nice and thick, with a light, pleasant scent. A little goes a long way as it glides over the skin before being quickly and completely absorbed, leaving the skin feeling soft, smooth, and moisturized (and, if need be, protected, too).
Aloe vera is well known as an effective natural treatment for minor cuts and burns, and Zim’s Max takes it to a new level with their Aloe Acemannan Gel. Acemannan is a component of aloe vera gel that Zim’s calls “nature’s purest form of aloe vera.”
More than 60 years ago, Zim’s introduced its first product, the original Zim’s Crack Creme skin cream, to help soothe the cracked hands and feet of local cement workers in Austintown, Ohio. Today Zim’s product line has expanded to more than 25 products, including skin care, lip care, cough and cold relief, first aid, pain relief, and specialty products for diabetic and adult care. You’ve gotta love a company whose goal is to create “products that utilize the power of natural ingredients to a make a difference in your life and those you love.”
Like most of Zim’s products, the Zim’s Max Aloe Acemannan Gel is made in the USA. It can be purchased directly at Zim’s website or at many major retailers.
I know it’s just a matter of time before I reach for a hot pan or get my cat just a little too excited and find myself with a burn or scratch, so I’m very glad to have Zim’s Max Aloe Acemannan Gel in my medicine cabinet. I have every confidence that it will soothe, protect, and help me heal when I need it.
