For this holiday gift guide feature, I received 2 different items to review for you. The first item is a set of hand painted tropical fish ornaments and the second item is a beautiful pair of sterling silver sand dollar earrings.
The Tropical Fish Ornaments are hand painted by an artisan in Bali Indonesia and come in a set of four. They are made out of albesia wood which is very light-weight, perfect for hanging them on your Christmas tree, wreath or holiday swag. Each fish measures approximately 3″ wide and wow…I love those tropical & bright colors! They really look nice hanging on your tree.
I decorate my home in a beach & coastal style and that includes my Christmas tree. During the holiday season my new Tropical Fish ornaments will hang on the tree. During the “off season” I’m going to place them in a large crystal bowl that I have in my china cabinet with some seashells. Yup, I think they can be on display year round.
The second item I received is a pair of Sand Dollar Sterling Silver Stud Earrings which are absolutely GORGEOUS! These earrings are handmade in Thailand and done in your traditional “stud style” which means they’re small, flat and sit nicely on your ear. They are made out of genuine sterling silver and feature butterfly backs (clasp).
Every year we take my mother down to our beach house with us for a nice little vacation. Every time we’re there, mom and I walk the beach to collect seashells and sand dollars. I selected these earrings for my mother, to remind her of all of our good memories down at the shore. I think they look lovely on her, don’t you?
