How many of you remember playing with Spirograph as a child? What about watching your children and/or grandchildren play with it? You know, it hasn’t changed much over the years and is still providing hours upon hours of fun to both adults and children.
Well, last year down in Philadelphia (Philly) they had an exhibit featuring Spirograph Art. People were able to try out and design their own floor art and some of this art ended up being hung up all over the city as street art. How cool is that?
Can you imagine spending hours on a floor mat making your own super cool design? Check out all of those colors that were used: Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Black, Purple, etc. I think that would be totally fun to do, but I would probably get tired out after an hour or two doing it and definitely would need some help from others!
If this type of exhibit would come to a city near you, would you want to participate? Would you ever want to create your own floor, wall or street art with Spirograph? I wish I would of gotten a few more photos of this, because some of the designs that were created and hanging up were incredible!
I remember my 2 Girls playing with their Spirograph sets. It kept them busy for hours. It was fun and turned out some pretty cool designs. I even tried them and I loved them. These floor designs are awesome. I would love to try this if it came to our town. It sure would be thrilling on my part! Thankyou for sharing. :O)~~
I do remember spending hours with my Spirograph and now my granddaughter has one of the mini ones that she uses in the car. I would love to see an exhibit like this. How fascinating.
Oh, I would TOTALLY participate in something like that! How fun! When I was a kid, I spent hours and hours (and hours) playing with my spirograph. The designs were so intricate, and mathematical, and utterly beautiful, at least to my eyes. I loved it.
I remember Spirograph and my kids and I enjoyed it a lot. I would enjoy the exhibit.
This looks so fun. I remember playing with it for hours. The big wheels to the small, and all the pieces in between. My brothers kept borrowing pieces…. and eventually the spirograph went somewhere. I think our Mom got tired of returning the pieces/ It was actually harder than it looks!
I remember playing with my spirograph set as a child and I loved it. This looks like such a fun exhibit. I would love to do this as an adult. Thanks for sharing this one it made me smile.
i remember playing with the spirograph, but i dont think i could see myself doing this kind of art anymore. the show looks like a lot of fun though and I would definitely like to go to something like this.
Oh, my gosh! that’s a super-sized Spirograph, lol. I do remember playing with Spirograph!
This looks really neat! I’d love if they used this as street art around Atlanta.
