Hummus and guacamole are up there on my list of favorite foods, although I rarely make my own homemade versions. But now I’ve found Hope Foods, a brand of delicious hummus and guacamole products made from real, organic ingredients without fillers or preservatives.
Their line of hummus includes ten different flavors (yes, I said TEN!), including Red Pepper, Kale Pesto, Sriracha, Lemon Pepper, and Dark Chocolate. Hope Guacamole comes in two varieties, Spicy Green Chili for people who like some heat, and Green Chili for those of us who prefer a more mild version.
The company was founded in 2011 by a group of friends who enjoyed cooking and eating together. They first began selling their homemade hummus at a farmers’ market in Boulder, Colorado, and by 2013 they had expanded to about 70 employees in a 60,000 square-foot factory. Here’s what they say about their company and its name: “We believe in the power of HOPE, not just our brand and our people but the attitude that we all need authentic & organic deliciousness we can trust.” Their tag line, “Spread Good Things,” refers to their hummus and guacamole, of course, but also encompasses the company’s core values.
Hope’s organic, non-GMO, kosher, fair trade, gluten- and dairy-free, and vegan-approved products contain no artificial preservatives. Instead, they use High Pressure Processing (HPP), an innovative cold-pressure technology that helps the products retain their flavor and nutritional qualities.
Although Hope Foods’ products are widely available nationwide in natural food stores and some mainstream grocery stores, I was only able to find them in one store in my sparsely populated area of Maine, where shopping options are limited. That small store doesn’t carry many of their flavors, but I was quite pleased with the ones I tried. The two varieties I got were the Original Recipe Hummus and the Green Chili Guacamole, and both are outstanding.
The guacamole was the perfect topping for enchiladas. It has flecks of vegetables and spices as well as nice chunks of avocado, and it added a lovely creaminess to the meal. I also enjoyed it for lunch with crackers. It’s very flavorful without being overly spicy. The hummus, on the other hand, is not for the fainthearted; it’s spiced with a blend of organic cumin, black pepper, cayenne, and garlic powder. It was delicious with crackers and vegetables for dipping. Both of these Hope products would be great to serve at a party or for a snack.

I have not yet seen this brand in the market, but I shall now look for it. I love the idea of a Kale hummus. I also appreciate how these products are naturally made.
I havent seen this in stores yet. I adore both hummus and guacamole. I like how the hummus comes in so many flavors, you can have almost anything from natural to pretty spicy. I love a good gauc, this looks nice and fresh!
I am a big hummus fan and love to have it as a dip with vegetables or just to spread on a pita. I would like to give this brand a try because I like their philosophy and it sounds like they have interesting flavors. Hope I can find it in a store in my area.

I didn’t realize that they were from Boulder. I’ve seen their products in the store but haven’t tried them. Now I will.
I am going to look for this in our local grocery stores. I love guacamole and hummus so much and I still haven’t found a good company that makes it yet but this one sounds like one I would really enjoy.
