What You Must Consider When Contracting Tree Services in Dallas

October 21, 2016 by Sam H.

What You Must Consider When Contracting Tree ServicesJust as any other project, you will need to do proper planning and research when you embark on the landscaping of your home. Since trees can last a lifetime, you will need to choose the type(s) of trees that will maintain your landscape beauty over the years. It will be a great idea to consult an expert tree service in Dallas at https://www.thelocaltreeexpert.com/tx/austin/ to get a free estimate.

Before you contract an arborist or a landscape artist, take a walk in your garden and envision the garden you would like. You do not need to have the plant’s scientific names in mind for this. This step is important since when you meet the landscape professional, most probably they will first ask what you have in mind so that they build the idea from there. In addition, the garden should portray who you really are – your personality, style and preferences, not someone else’s. A major determinant of whether you will include trees as the border of your garden will depend on whether you would like privacy or an open boundary.

Short Herbaceous Borders

Are you a private or open person? If you are an open person, you may consider going lush with short perennial plants or shrubs and avoid long plants or trees. Short herbaceous borders can also work well for you, especially if you mix the perennial plant colors to make a vibrant appeal. You can choose from a range of shorter lush species, such as Ferns, Astilbes and Hostas. You can also consider mixing the height of your border for a greater appeal by mixing with the taller herbaceous plants like Red Hot Pokers, Fox Gloves and Lillies. You can also explore sculptural trees to add a classic aesthetic appeal of art!

Trees for Privacy

If you are the private type, you can choose an array of trees to add height to your borders. Most definitely, you should not bank on deciduous trees like maple and hickory to suit your privacy needs since you will hate all autumns! You will wake up to the rude shock of a naked tree with loads of leaves to sweep!

Are you in urgent need of privacy?

Another important consideration is how fast you would like to attain your privacy. For example, if Acer Griseum makes you spark, you should consider buying a mature specimen since it takes very long to grow. You should also consider your budget, since mature specimens are usually more expensive. On the other hand, there is a downside of choosing a fast growing tree to save cost and time. If the tree grows beyond your expectations, you will encounter a problem of space or even the tree’s branches spreading into your neighbor’s lawn, and you will be forced to call tree trimming services every once in a while.

After you choose your preferred type of landscape, consider a classic garden ornament to ice your ravishing garden!

These are excellent tips for planning a garden in Dallas or in the northeast. I would not want to mix the height of my border, and would probably opt for trees on one side and plants on the other.
