Noosa Yoghurt: Great Flavors for Autumn or Any Time

October 5, 2016 by A Bailey

Noosa Yoghurts“This yoghurt is awesome!” I said to my husband through a mouthful of yoghurt. I handed him a spoon so he could have a taste. His eyes got huge, and he actually shouted “Oh My God” despite having a mouthful of yoghurt himself. Yes, Noosa Yoghurt is so good it can turn the ordinarily polite into rude talk-with-your-mouth-full people.

Your first question might be why that “h” is in the word “yogurt.” It’s simple, really. Although Noosa Yoghurt is based in Colorado, the founder is originally from Australia, where it’s “yoghurt.” But more than just an “h” sets Noosa apart from other yogurts. It’s made in small batches with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including whole milk from cows that are never treated with rBGH. It’s certified GMO free and contains probiotics and live, active cultures, and it’s also naturally gluten-free. It’s quite possibly the best store-bought yoghurt I’ve ever had. Of course, I still like using my yoghurt maker too.

Noosa Yoghurt - Pumpkin

For my review, I received two autumn-themed flavors of Noosa Yoghurt, Pumpkin and Bhakti Chai. Don’t ask me to choose a favorite, because I love both thick, creamy, delicious flavors.

The Pumpkin Noosa is made with real pumpkin and a hint of spices, and the flavor is well rounded and not too sweet. Originally intended to be a seasonal offering, its popularity prompted Noosa to make it available year-round.

Bhakti Chai brings all the spicy goodness of a cup of chai tea to yoghurt. Like the Pumpkin flavor, the Bhakti Chai has just the right amount of sweetness to balance the tang of the yoghurt, but the Bhakti Chai is brightened up with a swirl of rich, warm spices rather than a fruit puree.

I often use yogurt in my baked goods, so I thought I might use some of the Noosa Yoghurt in a cake or some muffins. But then one taste turned me into a Noosa Yoghurt miser. It’s so good on its own that I was unwilling to part with any of it for the sake of a cake. However, I did crumble some gingersnaps into a bowl of Pumpkin Noosa for dessert, which I’m happy to report was quite yummy.

Noosa Yoghurt

My refrigerator always contains yogurt. Aside from my homemade plain yogurt, I usually keep some cups of flavored store-bought yogurt on hand, too. Noosa costs more than the brands I’m used to buying, but it’s worth it for an indulgent but healthful and all-natural alternative. I’m looking forward to trying other Noosa flavors from their wide selection, which includes many types of fruits as well as flavors such as Mexican Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Mango Sweet Chili.

To find a retail location near you, check the Noosa Yoghurt website. While you’re there, you can read about the care they put into every aspect of their operation, and the happy cows and bees that produce the milk and honey they use. You can also sign up to download a coupon or join their “best mates” fan club for exclusive offers and announcements.

I recently tried this brand and found that I really like the creaminess and flavor of it. I have not yet tried the pumpkin flavor but am looking forward to giving it a try.

I looked up locations that sell it and there are many. Of course, I do live in Colorado. Haven’t tried this yet but will start with the Bhakti Chai

I like tart yogurt and most yogurts seem too sweet to me. Looking at the labels confirms how much sugar they put in it too. Yogurt helps my digestion but sugar does not. I like that Noosa uses whole milk and real fruit.

I never tried this yogurt and now I want to try it. It has interesting flavors and seem to be more healthful.

I love this yogurt. I always buy it at Target. I haven’t had the Pumpkin yet, but it’s that season!

I love yogurt, but I haven’t tried Noosa Yoghurt yet!!! I must try it, especially the pumpkin. I’ve tried a few newer yogurts recently, and it is fun to try a new one, it just might become my new fav!
