My Thoughts: I’ve been pretty open here on the blog about my various medical problems over the years and one of them happens to be my lack of hand & arm strength on my right side. Holding a hairdryer has been a big problem for me for the past 5-6 years and on most days, I just avoid it and let my hair air-dry. Well, that was until now.

This hairdryer is so easy to use! I had about a 1 minute learning curve and then I felt like I was using it like a pro. I love that I can grab it and hold it where I feel it’s sits comfortable in my hand. My 68 year old mother holds it a little differently than me and it works for both of us.

I love the digital control features and once you have those set in-place according to your liking & needs…there is a little lock/unlock button. I basically use it the same way every time I use it, but if I wanted to change the settings I could hit the unlock, change them and then hit lock again.

Dura CHI Handshot Hair Dryer

This is one of the easiest hairdryers I’ve ever used and it’s a high-performance one at that! It used to take me 8-10 minutes to dry my thick hair and now it takes me less than 5 minutes if that! I love that it comes with attachments that are easy to put on & take off. Everything about this hairdryer is top-notch & high quality. They really thought out the beautiful design and all of the fabulous features!

You can buy it at LoxaBeauty.com and you can learn more about CHI products by visiting Farouk.com. I think this hair dryer is absolutely fantastic and it would make a great holiday gift!

  1. Jo-Ann Brightman says

This sounds like an interesting hair dryer. I have never had one without a handle, but I love that it is so light and easy to maneuver. Sometimes my arthritis makes it hard for me to hold onto or hold up items that i need to use, including hair dryers.

  2. I am so curious now and would really love to try this hair dryer out. I smiled and was nodding my head when I read that you used to let your hair air day because that is so me! It seems the older I get the more I hate using the hair dryer. My hair dryer takes too long, it too loud, too hot and makes my arm hurt after holding it up in the air for 10-15 minutes so I gotta try this dryer.
