Born Skincare Products for Men and Women

October 19, 2016 by A Bailey

Born Skincare Products for Men and WomenIf you’ve been looking for high-end, toxic free, organic, all natural, nourishing skin care products, Born Skincare is a brand you might want to consider.

The Born company began when a family member was diagnosed with cancer and the family pulled together to research better and more healthful ways to live, including the foods they ate and the products they used. Their research culminated in a commitment to toxic free living and an understanding of what they call “the miracle of the grape.” Grape seed oil is an integral ingredient in their product line, providing benefits through its antioxidant properties as well as its Vitamin E content, among other virtues. Different varieties of grapes have different properties, and they’re used in combination with other organic oils and ingredients to make Born’s line of skin care products.

Born Skincare Products for Men

My husband was pleased to try The Source for Men, which can be used as a beard balm to condition a beard or as an aftershave to soothe skin and protect against razor burn. Its main ingredient is grape seed oil sourced from Cabernet grapes, and its blend of oils smells spicy and masculine. His beard tends to be somewhat coarse, and he found that his beard was much softer after using The Source for Men. It also helped moisturize the parts of his face and neck that he shaves. Overall, his impression was quite positive, and I liked the results, too.

One caveat: If you wear glasses, you’ll want to read the instructions on the bottle before you get in the shower to use the product, as the print is small and rather faint.

Born Glow Facial Serum

I also received some Born Skincare products and samples to try, including their signature Essence Facial Moisturizer and Glow Facial Serum, as well as The Source Collection Travel Atomizer Package. If I had just one word to describe Essence and Glow, it would be “lush.” These rich lotions made my skin feel smooth and moisturized, even with just a small application. The Travel Atomizer Package is a collection of four refillable travel containers with different formulations, The Source for Skin, for Sensitive Skin, for Muscles, and for Mothers; the atomizers retail for $10 each, and the four-unit Travel Atomizer Package sells for $30.

Born Skincare’s product line also includes Pure Foaming Cleanser and Illuminate Exfoliating Cleanser, as well as other oils and butters. They are made in the USA and are never tested on animals. If you’re interested in more information about the products, grape seed oil, or Born’s method of cold-pressing seeds to expel the oils, visit their website, where you can purchase their products either individually or in bundles.

Their products are also available at select retail locations in Georgia and at a few online retailers as well, including Amazon. In keeping with the roots of the company, 5 percent of every Born sale is given to the Breast Cancer Fund.

I attended both detox and cancer online summits recently so I’m all about ditching my toxic makeup and getting all organic, safe products in my house now. I have so much plastic to toss out! Starting with my makeup is an easy first step though and I love they give back to cancer research. Good point about the small print too. I use reading glasses sometimes and keep a pair in the bathroom just for label and direction reading!

This is the first time I have heard of this line of skincare products. I love that they use different grapes and grapeseed oils for the high-end, toxic free, organic, all natural, nourishing skin care products of Born Skin.
