The Beautiful Niagara Falls State Park
Last year my husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Niagara Falls which is the #1 honeymoon destination on the east coast. For those of you who don’t live in the United States, Niagara Falls is located in upstate New York.
Last summer I shared a few photos here on the blog from our trip and today, I wanted to share one more. This particular photo is totally different than the previous ones because it’s taken from a different angle and while we were out on a boat.
It’s not as crisp & clear as my other photos, because I was protecting my expensive camera from the mist and water that was in the air. However, I like this photo because you can see the rocky cliff, the falls pouring down it and one of the bridges in the distance. The bridge looks closer than what it really is.
It’s amazing how lush and green the entire area is during the month of June when this photograph was taken. If you’re looking to avoid the big crowds, you’ll want to avoid traveling there during the latter half of May, June, July and August…which is their busy tourist season. They were PACKED the 5 days we were there!
The photograph above is the same photo and I turned that into a black and white photo (removed the color) and I think it looks even more interesting without the color.
How many of you have visited Niagara Falls State Park before? Did you enjoy your visit? If you’ve never visited the park, is it a place on your travel bucket list? I’ve been there 4 times in my lifetime and I never get bored visiting it! If I could afford it and if I could have a lot of time off work, trust me, I would probably visit yearly!
